It's either a Jonah (or Jude) or an Opal!  We find out next month (unless I can talk my hubby into paying for an ultrasound "boutique" to check for gender. OB office won't do it til April 20th, AT LEAST.)

SQUEEEEEE! Gonna have another baby!   I haven't forgotten about y'all. Pony collecting has taken a back seat while my husband and I look for a place to live and I've been getting my 13 year old use to the idea that he's going to be a big brother and dealing with a dog that's having nothing but health issues at the moment. (Not gonna mention the toll growing a human has taken on me, lol.)

Did I tell y'all that we got married back in December? I can't remember who I am most days.

Please please read up on the boutique ultrasounds before doing one.... I'm not trying to be a jerk, but they can be dangerous for your child.

I'm not a fan of it, but there is a blood test you can ask your Dr. about that can tell gender early, it's intended to look for chromosome irregularities, but it can get gender by 10-12 weeks if I recall correctly. Might be cheaper too.

Ooh great news! I remember aching to know what gender mine was... 

My friend had a scan recently but hers was a very shy baby - they refused to uncross their legs so the gender remained a surprise 

It's been a few years since mine, and I have also heard of this maternal blood test that can somehow detect the child's gender - I don't know how it works nor if the NHS in the UK provides this service.  Much less scary than an invasive amniocentesis.

Congratulations so much! Babies are such a blessing! I hope your pregnancy can be as easy as possible! Also, I can tell you by looking at the ultrasound picture that your baby will be cute.  There..now you don't need to go to the doctor to find that out

I found a great ultrasound place that specialized in gender reveals. We ended up waiting for the OB to do it at 20 weeks but if you'd like the info let me know.
