Can G1 symbol sunfade?
« on: January 02, 2016, 10:02:29 AM »
Well...I'm trying make a custom with a poor Baby Glory bait and after I rub her symbols with acetone, still remains a mark on the body... I don't know what I can do. Anyone knows? Maybe sunfade can resolve?
I must have a body full white because I'll paint another symbol here...

I'll try the sunfade then.  ^.^ I hope Baby Glory doesn't burn with sunfade, being a white pony.  >_<

I'm sunfading two white ponies, going on six months now (darn northern lack of sunlight) and so far they are just fine. They aren't Baby Glory though, maybe somone else knows if she's prone to burning?

I would agree sun fade is your best bet. The stain from the pigment will have got right into the plastic and unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your purpose) that can make it incredibly hard to move. If you are brave and have a space sufficient to use it (and the appropriate safety gear) you can try paint remover but I do think patience and sun light are the best idea.

You can buy uv lamps that will fade the same as sun. Try a pet store. They're made for exotic reptiles.

Unfortunately they wont work the same way; the light you want in order to fade are the more dangerous ones which are purposefully not put in such lights. Good old fashioned exposure to sun light is the best bet.

Is summer here, so I have a lot of sunny (and hot  >_<) days, yay!! So, I'm trying the sundfade and until now, Baby Glory doesn't turn a brown pony!  :frolic:

Here is the my progress! She is my first sunfading.  ^.^

Day 1:

Day 4:

She had an yellow mark on the face that's gone and the symbols is doing well too! She is not too white as in the photos but I think it a light effect. I'm very positive that the symbols is gonna fade sooner! I hope she not burn.
