If you could go to Australia...

As a kid I loved the show the Flying Doctors and at the end of the intro, the plane fly above Ayers Rock (or something similar) in the sunset and ever since I've been determined to visit that place. Sure, there are other cool places to visit in Australia but Ayers Rock is on my bucket list.

I'm desperate to go to Australia...watching Coast Australia has made it even worse. I'm so envious of the presenter. 

It's such a beautiful and astoundingly varied country, I really wouldn't know where to start if I had to choose one area. Same goes for New Zealand! One day, I will save enough money to go there and fulfill a lifetime dream.

Thanks for all the ideas!! I would love to see New Zealand, too. It's actually what I say every time anyone says "If you could go anywhere..."

Loa, you know Ember well, lol. Briar just loves animals. As long as we get to see wildlife she'll be in heaven. Ember loves to learn and know. She will want to know EVERYTHING about where ever we go.

A friend of mine is visiting there right now! I would definitely look into hiking and nature reserves, but that's just me. I'd definitely also go to the zoo.

We have family in South Australia so when we go that's where we travel to.  The Barossa Valley is lovely and full of wineries and wildlife preserves, and isbin't as overrun with tourists as the more traditional vacation spots.  One of my favorite places is the Gorge Wildlife Park, but Adelaide is also a nice city, and you can travel out to Kangaroo Island or head south to Second Valley (the beach).
