Small Peachy figure - tell me more
« on: February 12, 2015, 02:06:59 PM »
I recently bought this Peachy figure.

Was she a keychain? I'm currently waiting for a Firefly keychain that looks similar to this Peachy. Are there any more of them? Are they common or hard to find? Please show me pics if you have any!

Could it be one of those Portugeses Bully figures? :o Not too long ago a similar seapony charm turned up. I think they originally were supposed to be keychains, but I'm not sure.

There are a bunch of them, I usually find them just by like vintage my little pony PVC figure.

I've seen an Applejack, seaponies, Pinwheel, that Peachy there, ummmm... can't remember. I offered a deal to one of the sellers to buy all the figures he had but he wouldn't come down on price which was like 40-50$ a piece. He relists them every once in a while. I probably save pictures on my old laptop but can't access it now.

I think both keychains and necklace? The Peachy I got has a cord for wearing around the neck but not sure if it's original o.O been awhile since I got it....

There is also Firefly and Starflower(?), which I have along with Heartthrob.

There are 6 alleged "Bully" ponies up right now- but they look like knock offs?

Not Bullies :) But yes they are Portuguese releases however they were released else where as well. As mentioned they were pendants or keychains depending on how and when sold. There are Applejack, Peachy, Pinwheel, Starflower, Heart Throb and Firefly in addition to Surf Rider, Sea Shimmer, Tiny Bubbles and a couple of adult sea ponies as well.

They are adorable! Congrats on such a great find.

Bully ponies are something different, though the name often gets attached to all pvc figures of this size!

The Peachy is a Portuguese keyring/necklace. I have seen the necklace version MOC, but there are a large number of the keychain versions as well (exactly the same, but with no cord and a keyring added). I'vebought a number of these and they have come from Portugal itself and Spain, but also Germany, Sweden, France and the Netherlands, so either they had a moderate release, or they were popular with holidaymakers.

hathorcat already has the list covered! The two adult sea ponies are very rare (I only have one).

Do you have a picture of the adult seapony? I've only seen the babies. Any MOC picture left too? :)

Oh great info!

So the ones on ebay are the real Bully ponies- and those other ones are Portuguese necklace or keychain ponies.  I have to say I really like the fat faces on those Portuguese ponies!

Most of them came in little plastic bags normally rather than on a card :)
