I never have my mobile near me during the night. As for Alarm clocks, well, I usually wake up on time. And if it's super important... Well, my clock is always right beside my bed :P

I keep mine by me on silent. What's nice is that, even when it's on silent, the alarm clock still works fine. :) So I'm not disturbed all night, but I still wake up to the vibration in the morning.

I keep mine nearby but not under my pillow or anything. Usually it's just out of reach ha ha. I will get calls or texts in the morning and I'll be like, "Argh! can't reach!" That's not always a bad thing *snort* It's a smartphone, a bit over 3 years old now so I'm sure it's obsolete in the world of cell phones (htc incredible S which is the incredible 2 only Canada's version.) I've even dropped it a few times and it still works, lol. I get texts from Toys R Us every day and I keep waiting for the one that says there's an MLP sale instead of more Skylanders stuff. They're obsessed with Skylanders!

I can't get internet on my phone or take pics, I call it my dumb phone, lol. It's on my nightstand when I sleep as I'm on call for work.

Mine is also an alarm clock... plus, it's on charge right next to me.  But I don't keep it there expecting a phone call or text late at night. If I do get one, it's probably important.

I keep it as far away as possible cuz of the radiation =)
I have nothing in my bedroom - no TV, no phone, nothing what works with electricity except the lamps....  :lookround:
My alarm clock works with batteries and I always store it under a pile of pillows to keep the sound as silent as possible.

Mine's on silent on my desk beside the bed, as I've had to use it as an alarm clock. It still flashes an LED if something comes through overnight though, but it's less likely to wake me up than it vibrating loudly or bleeping!

I used to keep it on loud until I got woken one night by a text that came through in the middle of the night. It wasn't anything vital, it was someone messing around, and I got so annoyed that it's been on silent every night since then!

I do own a cell phone, but it's relatively old in cell phone terms. It's one of those flip-to-open numbers. You can get on the internet with it, but it is not unlike getting on the internet back in those slow modem days. Such a teeny display too! No built in keyboard, you have to text by using the number pad. A rather slow thing to do.

Further more, I'm not much of a phone using type and not many people A) have my cell phone number, B) bother calling me anyway. As a result, my phone is never in my bedroom.

Now if I had a smart phone and could use some kind of sleeping-related app, then yeah, I could see myself having one nearby overnight.

How's about you?

This is basically me, except that I've told all my friends that they better not call me unless it's really important and/or an emergancy.  And they know that if I'm asleep, they'll have better luck getting to me by banging on my window.  XD

I use mine as an alarm clock too, so it's always nearby - not too near, though, because I have a bad habit of putting it off without waking up! XD I usually place it on the floor far enough so I need to get out of the bed to reach it.

Luckily no one ever calls or texts me overnight. Then again, I probably wouldn't wake up to a text anyway...

I used to sleep with my cellphone right next to my face on my pillow or even under my face.. it was a comfort thing, lol..
now i have a small plushie i tuck under my neck instead o_o so my cellphone is off the pillow lol but still within reach on my bed. the way my room is set up there's a sort of loft area with my bed wedged in it so theres no room for a nightstand or anything

I should probably also add that I have a horrendous tendency to sleep in :P So when people call me during regular hours of the morning (9AM, 10:30AM, etc) there's a good chance I might still be asleep!

My phone spends the night on my bedside table. I never get calls or texts in the night and I don't use it as an alarm but it still as to right next to me. I don't know why.

My own cell phone is always downstairs at night (we sleep upstairs). My husband uses his phone as alarm clock so he has it nearby.

I read on mine (kindle app) to go to sleep. so I either fall asleep with it in my hand or as I'm drifting off, I stuff it under my pillow. It's also my alarm clock ^_^

I put it on silent, but SOMEPONY *not looking at PKW* *OKMAYBEIAM* always texts at midnight and my phone vibrates under my head and wakes me up, terrified :p
