What an amazing find. She is not in any publicity material in this pose or colour - I have even checked the Hasbro UK an US toy catalogues as well for the relevant years just in case I was forgetting.

Can I ask - it was a UK based auction wasn't it? I remember spotting it. Have you asked the seller if they were childhood ponies?

Weirdly there was never a MGR pony released in this pose in the UK - we did not get Diamond Dreams or Sparkler. So that points to her being something truly weird and wonderful if she was from a childhood collection on this side of the pond.

I asked the seller, she said she bought her from a car boot sale some time ago along with the other ponies she sold in the two lots..

Ooooh...even more interesting! Pretty cool. Especially due to the lack of MGRs in this pose in the UK.

I would start to speculate she could fall in to that weird and wonderful UK oddball category. But she is a little late in the line for that and unlike UK oddballs which at least can attribute their different parts to specific ponies, this one cant. Because the mould would have had to deliberately be cast with a colour this pony never was.

Congrats on her! I saw that auction and even asked the seller about her, too     

I've managed to sunfade a 'normal' Sunnybunch who had an ink spot on her head. It took absolutely forever but it eventually came out. Like someone else said, just be sure to cover all areas you don't want faded    That includes hair - I managed to accidentally fade my Raspberry Jam's hair a bit (her hair is the same shade) so I wouldn't be surprised if Sunnybunch might also be prone.

at the moment you should be OK sunfading in the UK! We are having a heat wave (interspersed with thunderstorms) and my sun fading is going very well!

Shes very interesting, even with the marker pen

She's in the window, but its cloudy and rainy outside, it has been for a few days now. I don't think I will have success fading her here.  Soooo.. I've decided to sell her...
