Novi stars?

I finally gave in and grabbed Mae, Alie, and Malie at Target today. Alie was $7.98 and the other 2 were $5.98. I'm going back tomorrow to get Ari and Una. I really neeeed Tula, so if anyone sees her, keep me in mind!

These new ones are GORGEOUS. I neeeeeeed Vera.

FINALLY my Target has listed all of the dolls (first edition) on Clearance-  I think they are $7 something ... so still more than Shopjustice.

If the price ends in an 8, they'll go lower. They've been shelf-sitters at EVERY Target I've been in lately, so you might be able to hold out.

I got 3 of them for $5.98 and the other 3 for $7.98. They were starting to get scarce, so I gave in. Definitely check the whole shelf, behind dolls and everything, because I found 1 Mae and Malie for $5.98 and the others were all $7.98 or even $9.98.

I got Malie for my daughter, hoping she'd like her but.. she declared they are ugly   So the doll is going back on Thursday [found out I can return it as long as I have the receipt, which I found tonight].

I went back to target and bought the rest of the original 6 that I'm missing, God help me, I'm addicted!

I saw that the first wave was marked down to less than $5 at my Target.  Yay!

I grabbed up Mae and Malie at Target today too!  I really love the new ones but will wait until they get cheaper.

I think that is what sold me on them.  If they had normal painted on eyes like every other doll I would have been able to walk away even with the $5 price tag. 

Does the beach Una have water in her legs or is it just her first version that does?

Just the first version has the "snow-globe" type legs.  The beach dolls all have solid legs and the new joints (although I think they still have the old style stands?)

The Orbit Beach girls don't come with stands.   However, they stand up relatively well without them.  Only Una has fallen off my shelf (Oh, Una, you are just so unstable, both versions of you!) and I suspect Ali would be too, if I hadn't done something with that major mass of messy hair.

I found Sila at Walmart, so ended up not having to order her from Amazon, whoot!   My one gripe with her is that MGA did not make a wig specifically designed for her head.   It is pretty much the same as the Bratz wigs, and falls off her pointy head if you move her at all.   I haven't released original Mae from her plastic prison, but I suspect from the complaints I have seen in a few places, that her wig is also not designed around her head shape.   Oh well, both are cute even if their wigs fall off their domes.

From what I have heard that was what caused the end of Jem too back then. I wonder if kids today will remember them more fondly in the future.

Sorry to hear they are cancelled but I'm not surprised given the various reasons folks have already mentioned. What I am surprised at, is that whoever wrote that email got a response from MGA, they must be much better about releasing info than Mattel is.

Now I need to hurry and get Cici Thru and Vera
