Great find!! Ive never seen this one "in the wild". I had to buy mine in box off Amazon some years back. Paid up the nose for it too. Good luck keeping it safe.

Oh boy.
Yeah I am so mixed. Out of this whole line so far, this is the only product I would consider getting. I like the inclusion of male characters, I like getting them in all one go...just everything else is so...lacking. Like in the CGI renders they have white markings on their legs faces, whatever. That aint here. The designs are better than the smaller versions...but not by much.
Thank you for the detailed pictures. I could change my mind if I see them in person, but I might be skipping this product and this line.

Looking back, at just the physical ponies, I think that not much has changed overall for me. I don't mind the modeled hair, I don't mind the increase pose-ability, and I think it is great to expand the product into a larger audience.
I feel my concerns with the current line is just the quality of the product. It has always bugged me how small the ponies were, how gross the hair got later on. Believe me, I wanted to like them, but I found myself keeping them in package more and more because I was afraid to find out how bad the product actually was underneath. Has my pony buying habits changed since the launch of the line? Yes.
I feel I am far more willing to shovel the extra cash at the Basic Fun line because I am buying a product closer to the original quality of the older lines.
My hope for the future is that they increase the quality of the product, less accessories more pony.

YES! I recently started to collect them after having a secret love affair with them for years. It is such a shame so few were released in the US. But thankfully it makes it a easy US set to complete xD

Just went to two Costcos in Reno and didn't find any. *Sigh* Lets hope that if it is a Costco exclusive that it shows up on their online store front.

I can empathize. My collection has been in boxes for 4 years now, and I still dont have them really on display. For me, I need a goal in order to get into collecting. So right now my goal is to create an inventory of what I have so I can then develop a goal about what I plan to do next.
