Pony Corral / Hasn't Build-a-Bear announced new Ponies yet?
« on: July 31, 2016, 02:13:08 AM »
The last thing we heard seems like it was months ago, when they said they were going to make more new Ponies after all because of their continuing popularity. I thought maybe by now we'd have heard what the next one is going to be.

Trader & Shipping Support / Hasbro Toy Shop's shipping times?
« on: June 07, 2016, 09:39:46 PM »
So I'm debating making a purchase from Hasbro's eBay store to get the free shipping and a lovely price on the item. What are others' experiences with how fast they ship? I recall from the past that it seemed like most people had bad luck and shipping was very slow (like two or even three weeks!), but I talked to one person who said theirs was super fast, so I'm wondering if they've changed. I might think it worth paying a little more in a retail store to have the item immediately if shipping time is way too long, but if shipping time is reasonable these days, I'd probably rather try online.

Pony Corral / The basic Lemon Zest doll
« on: June 05, 2016, 07:31:13 PM »
So while everyone wonders where the Roller Skating Equestria Girls are, I discovered that I like the basic Lemon Zest's expression better than the deluxe one's. Lemon Zest was so cute and perky and the basic seems to capture that the best. She looks snooty or even flirty in the deluxe, I think....

But neither doll seems to have her bangs/fringe, which is frustrating, especially since Hasbro was getting really good at giving them to dolls of characters that have them. So I was considering getting the basic doll while Wal-Mart is clearancing her for $7, and slightly considering giving her a fringe. Has anyone done that with theirs? I'd love to see how it turned out before I'd try such a thing.

Price Check Archives / Prices of small Ty Ponies?
« on: May 31, 2016, 06:40:27 PM »
So Walgreens has the small Ty Ponies for $6.99. Not the keychain size, but the 5-6 inch size. Out of four Twilights, they have one where the wings are not placed so far down her back that it destroys her dignity. I kind of want to get her as a day-trip traveling buddy. She'd fit perfectly in a purse or messenger bag. Then I thought I remembered that some stores sell these for $5.99. Am I remembering wrong or is that a thing? And if so, which stores?

Pony Corral / Any current Pony or doll store sales?
« on: May 26, 2016, 05:43:48 PM »
Particularly at Toys R Us? And is this when Marshall's/T.J. Maxx might start getting some of the dolls in at discounted prices?

Trader & Shipping Support / Problems with Build-a-Bear's website?
« on: April 01, 2016, 04:43:58 PM »
BAB sent me one of those awesome $10 off coupons for being a great customer, but it expires tomorrow and I don't know if I'm going to be able to get in to use it. I considered using it online to get Muffins, but I also wanted to use the remainder of a gift card I have, and I'd still have to use some money from my bank account too. And haven't several members here had horrible trouble trying to use both a gift card and a debit card for the same order on the BAB website? I definitely remember Majesty having a lot of woes with the website.

Pony Corral / K-Mart is clearancing things too!
« on: March 24, 2016, 07:09:21 PM »
I popped in at K-Mart wondering if they might finally be clearancing the Rockin' Hairstyle dolls and I could get the Twilight. They were not only clearancing her and Fluttershy, but the Flash Sentry and Twilight two-pack! I got it for $14 and Rockin' Hairstyle Twilight for $10! I also saw something there from the Cutie Mark Magic line, some kind of ... vehicle or playset with Twilight? I didn't look too closely because I was in a big rush.

Pony Corral / Wal-Mart clearancing EQG archery dolls!
« on: March 22, 2016, 04:37:36 PM »
I don't know if anyone else's Wal-Mart is doing this, but last night I was actually able to get the EQG archery Twilight Sparkle doll for $4! :dropjaw: Some silly person had marked all of the archery dolls with Applejack's clearance sticker of $15, but I was sure I remembered that the Shadowbolts ones were $11 last I knew, so I took Twilight to run her through the price check. I also tried Applejack and Fluttershy, but they both rang up as $15. Still less than full price, but more than I wanted to spend, so I didn't get them. I didn't double-check Sour Sweet's price, since I can't stand her personality, but her archery doll is so gorgeous that I wonder if I should go back and see if she would ring up as $4 too. For $4, I might get her.

Anyway, if anyone is looking for any of the archery dolls, they might want to see what their Wal-Marts are doing. Usually around here, most of the Wal-Marts eventually start doing the same thing regarding clearancing merchandise, even if they don't at first.

Sorry if this topic has already been posted.... The Hasbro dolls have been showing up in Wal-Mart the last couple of months and I keep looking at them, trying to like them, and I ... just don't. They're so disproportionate, with bigger heads than bodies. Seriously, is Hasbro incapable of making properly proportioned dolls these days? (As much as I love Equestria Girls, I of course recognize that they're disproportionate. It took me a long time to be able to look past that.) It's not just that, though; their faces make them look so much younger than they're supposed to. The only doll I saw that looked good in that style was Anna. For the other characters, it had a brain-breaking effect on me. I like Mattel's much better. Proper proportions and faces that depict the right ages. And then I haven't had much experience with the Disney Store ones.... In the past I actually liked Mattel's faces better than the Disney Store ones, but I might feel differently now.

Pony Corral / What is UP with Funrise's distribution?
« on: March 12, 2016, 08:24:38 PM »
Ugh, it is so frustrating.... It used to be that you could always count on new Funrise plushies to turn up every few months or so. Then for about a year now, it has been almost impossible to find the Ponies they've made! Wal-Mart here finally got the Crusaders plushies during December, so I thought maybe the other 10-inch ones in the recent waves (Sunset Shimmer, Lyra, Sweetie Drops, whoever else) would start showing up too. So far, no such luck. And it seems to be a national issue; Sunsets rarely turn up on eBay or Amazon, and when they do, the prices are outrageous! The only places they seemed to appear in stores were Texas and Pennsylvania. I don't get it.

Pony Corral / Pony Royale?
« on: March 10, 2016, 04:26:10 AM »
So in the course of life I discovered there is (or was?) a series of non-MLP Ponies called Pony Royale. They're birth month Ponies, based around the birthstones, and you can get fashion packs and playsets for them and such. They're not as colorful as My Little Ponies, but they do look pretty nice from the pictures.

Does anyone have/collect these? How big are they? Are they still being made? They seem to have started in 2012, but the copyright date on their website is still current.

Pony Corral / Has anyone found Starlight Glimmer in the U.S. yet?
« on: December 21, 2015, 07:26:20 PM »
I know one of my best friends really wants her, and I wish so much I could get her for him. I know she's turning up in Australia, but the thought of overseas shipping prices makes me cringe. We're going shopping tomorrow (I hope, I hope) and I'm wondering if anyone's found her anywhere and has a tip for where to look. I know she's in the second wave and probably won't be around, but I'm still holding out a little hope.

Pony Corral / Interest in empty G4 Pony and EQG boxes?
« on: December 16, 2015, 06:22:04 PM »
So I like to keep boxes and cards and everything plushies and figures come in. Unfortunately, they of course take up a ton of room. I'm thinking I need to remove the cardboards the dolls are held on and then make the boxes flat to keep them. But before I dismantle them that way, I'm wondering if there's ever any fan interest in buying the empty boxes? I know I've seen G1 backcards get sold, but I don't know what the interest level is for G4 Pony and Equestria Girls boxes and cards. Please note that I am NOT selling or offering to sell; I'm just wondering if I should not dismantle the boxes and make them flat in case they may have value now or down the road.

Pony Corral / Glitter, glitter, everywhere....
« on: December 06, 2015, 02:45:32 PM »
So I was at Toys R Us last night and noticed that the Friendship Games two-pack has a lot of loose glitter. In every box, there seemed to be a lot shedding off of Twilight's skirt and getting all over her, the box, and sometimes even Flash. What is the glittery skirt like out of the box? Does it shed everywhere, or is it like the glitter on the DJ doll and actually doesn't get around when the doll is out of the box? The mess was enough to make me wonder if I want the two-pack at all....

Pony Corral / Marshalls and T.J. Maxx
« on: December 04, 2015, 05:26:45 AM »
So a lot of people have been finding awesome Equestria Girls stuff at Marshalls in the U.S. They and T.J. Maxx are connected/owned by the same company, aren't they? I don't suppose T.J. Maxx has any of the same deals? I have one of those in reasonable distance, but the closest Marshalls is nearly an hour North. Sigh.

Also, has anyone had any luck finding anything Pony/Equestria Girls-related at Big Lots lately?
