I was commissioned by a friend to make a zombie pony...for her son. So, I couldn't use breakable materials since it was going to be played with.

Here's what I came up with!

I was commissioned by a tumblr friend to make a Wonder Woman pony! It was my first time doing a sculpted costume, and while I see some things I'd fix given the chance, I'm really happy with it overall! It was a long process-the first time I sculpted a costume on her, it cracked and fell apart after baking. Luckily I got everything figured out!

For any fellow comic book nerds out there, I'm currently working on a set of Lanterns. So far I've got baits and hair for the Green, Blue, and Yellow Lanterns. I'm also planning to make a Deadpool of every gen :) And, I'm open for commissions!

Sculpted hair is fine, but I'm with Alatariel-Silimaure, I hate clothing on ponies. Sculpted clothes especially.

If it's just for the eyes I'd get a jar, since you'll only need one color! The finish is really smooth. :biggrin:

To be honest, none of the other acrylic paints I've used have had the same finish as the Tamiya. I've tried many different brands of craft store paint. The Tamiya has specific applications (at least in my opinion) and isn't as versatile as normal craft store paint though. I don't think I'd use any of the flat or gloss tamiya colors for a full body repaint, for example, because they're so slick. They tend to look better when used for cutie marks and eyes only (again, just my opinion). You'd probably get better value if you used your money to buy nice craft store paint rather than Tamiya paint for that reason.

I use tamiya acrylics, and they're lovely! I've even used the tamiya spray paints to do full body repaints, and as long as I put down a few layers of primer or even normal acrylic craft paint, i don't have any problems with sticky ponies! I'd see if you can find some of the tamiya acrylics because they really do have a great smooth finish.
