Pony Corral / Re: I have a question for you all! Please help me!« on: January 11, 2025, 03:07:55 AM »
I have everything digital. For G1, G2 and G3 a checklist I got online ages ago. I use MLP Merch for G4 since that is the most complete one. (Also good for G5). And I have a wish list document. All on my pc and my smartphone through dropbox so I don't have to drag papers on conventions or print them.
If you really want something on paper I would recommend the Summer Hayes books and The Nirvana Guide from Debra Birge. It has pictures and checkboxes. Whatever is not mentioned you can write on paper and put it in a binder. 3

I haven't got any New Years resolutions.
Because what I have planned is not specifically linked to the New Year. Just trying to live the daily life. And no I don't live a perfect life. I totally understand people have them, it's something to hold on. I see a lot of challenges coming by online. Some are easy and some could use (professional) help. 4
Off Topic / Re: So... how has your 2024 been?« on: December 24, 2024, 03:57:26 AM »
My 2024 went way too fast.
I've been at home most of this year after being fired of my previous job number gazillion. One of my cats went on thyrroid meds, so that's life long care. She is 11 now. I started a 6 months ICT home study paid by the government. Hoping to get a job with a permanent contract somewhere next year. I went to UK Ponycon and Ponycon Holland to get my dosage of irl pony friends and ponies for my collection. So yeah being at home is not that boring ![]() 5

Thanks for clearing up the "torture"
![]() If it's first run/test ponies then I am thinking of the factory prototypes from Argentina. The finished ones. So maybe it's something similar. I remember from way back that Chile was mentioned as a possible pony country. 6

That's a nice interesting find.
She does look tortured when I look at the tail. 7
Off Topic / Re: Does anyone do volunteer work?« on: December 02, 2024, 02:12:23 AM »
The thing about voluntary work is that you can make it as big as you want
![]() It could be as simple like serving coffee in a nursing home once a week or a project like organizing a day out for those less fortunate. Check ads where they need volunteers and have a talk what it means. I have volunteered a lot in my life and still do. I was volunteering at a petting zoo, organized dressage contests at a local riding school, co-organized a pony convention. My current one is moderating weekly voice calls on Discord. I am going to quit that because I want to do something else after 2,5 years. I got to know a lot of people through time and sometimes helpful with paid jobs when you get some experience. If you want to do something more MLP style, offer to help on a convention or meet up ![]() 9

I looked at your list and I took out the ones that should be lowered a bit. Hope to see you there. 12

I am always happy to read about other collector conventions/meetups in Europe since there aren't a lot of them. And love to attend them one day.
As for target audience, it's the same weekend as UK Ponycon where a lot of people come from abroad. But I am sure there will be some locals coming. I hope you have a great time over there ![]() 13

Up here we also have the well known chains like McD, Burger King and KFC. I go there maybe once/twice a month. Due to legal issues with the name we don't have Wendy's. I liked that place during my USA holidays.
I live in a city with lots of cultures so also a lot options if it comes to fast food like, hamburger, fries pizza or kebab. But also just as much options to eat healthy for a good price. It might not be completely fast food style but I am hooked on too good to go. Mostly 5 euros for a surprise bag with leftovers. Contents depends if I get it from a restaurant, grocery store or bakery. And that could also be fast food. |
