Hmm, it looks really low budget. Animation looks worse than the trailer made it out to be. Most of the movements look stiff and the lip movements look really off.

I'll probably watch it anyway. The characters still seem charming enough and the voices are actually pretty good, but, that preview doesn't leave a good first impression on the visual quality, at least.

I'm gettin' real tired of plane tickets being so bloody expensive.

There's a wedding I want to go to in a few months and I'd really like to not pay $700+ minimum just to fly barely half way across the country. Ugh!

Some images have been leaked from an upcoming "I Can Read" picture book coming out at the end of the month. Nothing really spoiler-y, but new screenshots from the movie are included. Some cute stuff too!

These look really nice! The colorful towns, the little background details like the HORNS poster... Makes it look/feel more lively, and like the whole thing has some soul and care put into it

They could have gone for a Dr Whooves poster as well. How they managed to overlook that obvious pun is beyond me, hehe. The brony fandom would have exploded.

It could have been a neat subtle nod to the brony fandom and/or FiM... but that also could be why they chose not to.

My computer is suddenly telling me that my USB must be formatted before I can use it.  Um...I've been using it for a couple of years.  At least I have a backup (and now creating a second backup for my backup) but is there any way to restore the files? It would be nice not to have to redo some of the work on there--it's not that much but still time consuming.

Well there is always the scary possibility that the USB drive is corrupted, those little USB sticks are far from the most reliable form of storage...

Are you using the drive on a new computer?

If not, you could open the disk utility on Windows to see if the data/files are even still on there (can't view them but it'll tell you if something's taking up space on it). That will also tell you what it's currently formatted as (If it's Windows it should either say FAT-something or NTFS). There are some third-party tools that might also be able to help you undo whatever the drive's come down with (EaseUS and MiniTool come to mind).

FiM definitely has some clever/funny jokes every now and then. Even some of the G3 animations slipped in a joke or a line every so often that would make me chuckle. Largely depends on one's sense of humor, though.

After seeing those "meet the character" videos... I'm even less sure about this.

The animation style isn't growing on me... quite the opposite, actually. The inclusion of modern technology... I suppose was going to be in some incarnation of MLP at some point... but still doesn't feel right. The whole thing just looks too spastic for my liking. Too... modern(?) almost. Just overall doesn't feel at all like MLP.

Still too early for final judgement? Probably. But hey, I’m definitely not the show’s target audience.

Also is it me or does Rarity (in particular) talk way too fast? It's hard to understand what she's saying much of the time.
