I hate FaceBook. It won't let me access my account without confirming my identity, but the only way to confirm it is by sending them official documentation which I refuse to do. So, I'm locked out of my account and can't delete it without accessing it. Oh, and there's no way to send an email to FaceBook or anything. I hope FaceBook goes the way of MySpace.

If anyone is still looking for this set I found it at Big Lots today for $5.
Ponyfan
This is where I ended up getting my copy from. I checked two different Dollar Trees and no dice. Big Lots, fortunately, had a copy for $5. I'm glad I didn't spend any more money on it. I watched two episodes so far, and it's not my cup of tea.

Well the Toys R Us in my area finally started having better sales, so I caved and bought the Calico Critter Seaside Ice Cream Shop. I've been sort of wanting to get it for a while now, and fortunately for me, it was one of the few Calico Critter sets still left in the store.
On an unrelated note, I would love to find new G3s in the wild. I didn't check the pony section of my store, so I don't know if they had any G3s.

Not exactly a gift to myself, but the timing was about right: "Arkham Horror: The Card Game".

I used to before I got overwhelmed and severely downsized my collection. I'm thinking of downsizing my collection some more so I can get some more space.

So, does anyone here collect playsets in general and not necessarily the dolls/toys that go with them? I had been eyeing the Our Generation diner set and food truck, and it wasn't until a few days ago that I broke down and finally bought them! This started a craze where I went ahead and bought a couple more food based playsets to set up and display. I got the Li'l Woodez farmer's market and food truck and the Calico Critters (Sylvanian Families) seafood restaurant, grocery store, and brick oven bakery sets. I also ordered the Li'l Woodez restaurant, general store, and bakery sets. (Once I get the sets I ordered in the mail, I think I'll stop there. I'm starting to run out of space for all these sets!) I must say, as much as I love the detail on the Calico Critter sets, setting everything up was a pain in the rear. I think I prefer the less detailed Li'l Woodez sets for the fact that the pieces are bigger and the sets are cheaper. I'm hoping one day to do mini reviews on all these sets. Anyways, pictures under the spoiler tag! (I took these pics with my tablet camera, so don't expect anything good .)

Time for a "I gave up a childhood toy and don't regret it" story:
I used to have a P.J. Sparkles bear that I had since I was three. As a child, she was my favorite toy, and I loved her to bits. However, as time went on, she got ragged and as my collection of stuffed animals grew, I lost interest in her and put her in storage. Somewhere in my teens, I got overwhelmed with my collection and ended up donating a good chunk of it. I debated whether or not to donate her, only to realize that she had been storage in a while now, and I didn't feel the same connection as I did back a child. So, I donated her.
I do miss her from time to time, but I also realized that if I kept her, she would still be storage.
My advice? Put your childhood ponies either in storage or in the closet, somewhere out of sight. Let some time pass, and if you don't miss them, then you know that you can part with them without problem.

If reproductions count, then one. If not, then none. Most of my collection consists of G4s, and it's a very small collection.

I wonder if the reason she's being made is due to the holiday season. Minty does feel like a holiday pony.

Hopefully nobody minds if I post my own tumblr question, but does anybody know how the search button works? I see a lot of repeat posts when I use the search function even when I have it set to "most recent."
Does tumblr like to bring up the most popular posts or something?
Edit: Thank guys for the help. Also, thanks aluke for letting me "hijack" your thread so to speak.
Not particularly a big fan of tumblr, since it's hard to find stuff, but it is one of the rare places where I can find certain fandoms.

I'm one of the rare people out there that has less than ten ponies in my herd, so it's easy for me to know which ponies I have and which ones I don't have.

It's really cool to see the concept art and prototypes of what could have been. I am mildly intrigued by the yarn ponies though. Would they have been made out of actual yarn? It kind of looks like it based off the description, but I can't tell if they would have been patterns/kits, so people could make their own yarn ponies.

Use it buy Munchy? (She's the most expensive pony that I can think of that I wouldn't mind having. ) Besides her, I would like to get G4 Minty, and that's it in terms of ponies. I just don't have the space for anything else.

I'm a natural night owl that doesn't like to go to bed till midnight (or even later) on the weekends, but I try to go to bed earlier on weekdays since I have to wake early for work. It's not fun.
What time do you wake up on a typical day? -6:30am on weekdays because of work. On weekends I may wake up before noon, but I tend not to get out of bed before then.
What time do you go to sleep? -Around 10pm (or I try to) on weekdays. Around midnight on weekends.
What are your feelings about naps? -I am incapable of napping for just 30 minutes or an hour. If I nap, it's for at least a few good hours.
