You know those amazing Pony dreams where you find rare and unreleased ponies at a thrift shop or garage sale for like $1 each? Well, I had that happen in real life and the ponies are still here! Yesterday was the Marysville Toy Show and I had a blast vending it. The promoters really go all out with their themes and ensuring the vendors have a great experience. This year’s theme was GI Joe. Their logo display evoked a military encampment, with a cot and lantern inside one side, a Jeep exiting the other side, a helicopter landing pad, rafting rapids, and smoked shark over a fire pit. And, to top it all off, a paratrooper dropping by to join in the fun. Vendors were given folders stating our name, rank, and location. Inside were custom dog tags with our name on them, the toy show, and “ Mission Holy Grail.” I set up my space and then browsed a little bit. Since my display took nearly the full four hours allotted to set up, I didn’t get much time to really shop and find goodies for myself. I mentally noted a few spots to check in the morning and headed home myself. The next morning, just before we opened to the early buyers, a friend tipped me off to a table I had somehow missed and I headed over to see what ponies they had. I wasn’t expecting much-- probably overpriced or some fakies. But then, from a distance, I spotted pink with yellow hair and the shine of pink tinsel. I dared to hope and picked up my pace. When I tell you I was shaking when I grabbed that pony, I am not exaggerating in the least. It was Rapunzel, the mail order I nearly had as a kid and my dad never sent in the filled out form with collected pony points. Then I grabbed blue hearts Dazzle Glow. Oh, and is that a pearly Baby Cotton Candy? And pearly Baby Blossom? AND pearly Baby Moondreamer? Wait, that’s ALL the pearly mail order babies! Spunky too! Tropical ponies, and Perfume Puffs and Candy Cane ponies. Gimme all the ponies and nobody pinch me because I like this dream. I asked the vendor how much and they were all less than $10 each. I gladly took the entire lot and danced back to my booth. I’m still in shock. I never thought I’d be lucky enough to own a Rapunzel after not getting her as a kid Mission Holy Grail? I recently ended up with TWO of these from two different lots I picked up over the weekend. They're the same color. Unfortunately, I can't tell if they go with Paradise Estate or the Baby Buggy and process of elimination won't work because both lots came with pieces to both sets! Is the Baby Buggy one more pastel? I feel like this might go to Paradise Estate... Or maybe it's interchangeable? I'd love it if someone who has both sets could confirm! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I just paid for shipping and hope they actually make it to me. Anyone know what the current going rate for Caribbean Delight and Beach Belle is? There aren't ANY on eBay and none have recently sold! Possible hair cuts, but I can fix that easy enough. Won't be able to tell until they get here because the photo isn't the best and their hair has been braided, wadded up in pony tail holders, and is super frizzy.

Hello, everyone! Long time, no see. As you can see by my account info, I've been a member pretty much since the beginning of the Arena. And I was active for a very long time. My life kinda fell apart at the end of 2014/beginning of 2015 and posting on forums fell away as I rebuilt. I never left my love for Pony, though and still attended many conventions and meets! I just became less active online. I'm hoping to fix that now, thanks to the marvelous Rainbow Dash hanging out with me at TrotCon 2021! In the convention world, I'm known as the NewGrayMare or Mari Lwyd. I don't see much point changing my username here from Eskara because that's what I've been known as here forever! I'm an expert at restoration and customization and loooooove to find horrible condition ponies to return to their glory. I run a business selling vintage toys at my website The New Gray Mare. I've collected ponies since I was 3 and Baby Quackers was the first one I ever remember receiving as a birthday gift. Don't ask for an exact number in the collection; I refuse to count and know it's "in the hundreds." As for me, personally? I'm a crazy swamp witch with seven cats, one dog, and a strange sense of humor. I like to do things that I find amusing (and mostly harmless. mostly), go out in nature for long hikes and swim in waterfalls, and generally lead the life I always dreamed of since I was a little kid. Sometimes, it takes everything falling apart to start fresh and build what you've always wanted  I'm happy to be home in the world of online Pony friends! Edit to add: Maaaaan that signature image is OLD. I should do something about that soon. Avatar too...

I found an awesome lot of G2 stuff today and the majority of it is European. But, G2s are my weak spot and I have absolutely no idea what to price any of this at! I've ID'd it from MyLittleWiki and mint in box images, so I'm pretty sure everything is accurate. Help on pricing would be most appreciated! Life gets in the way Last Monday I was fortunate enough to pick up an amazing lot of over 60 ponies and now I'm going through them all, cleaning them and putting accessories with the right ponies. I have the first wave done and uploaded at my site! I have an original hair extension for Trim 'n Grow Dream Beauties. It is uncut, but very slightly faded. The photo provided shows the hair piece (top) and tail piece (bottom). I only need a quote on the hair piece. What do you think one of these would be worth? It's no secret that I hate eBay. I hate it with a passion. Some of you may even remember my thread about how evil eBay is from three years ago when they decided I was a sub-standard seller over one person leaving low DSR ratings without contacting me. I swore I'd never sell there again. I must have been a battered wife in a previous life... Because I went back.
I quit working retail last June in an attempt to focus on building my own business. I was doing pretty good with the convention season running strong. I knew Jan/Feb would be lean months and that Nov/Dec are the best months to make money on eBay. I made the brilliant decision to start selling up a storm through the holiday season and actually did fairly well for myself. Then my life went on a little topsy-turvy trip in the middle of December (divorce, moving out of state, maxed out credit cards, all the good stuff you want to happen at once). I really, really needed money and started selling even more through January. One of my friends gave me a DuPont lighter to sell; he wanted $100 for it and anything beyond that I could keep. We were thrilled when it went for $225- after fees, we each got $100. We both immediately used the money to pay bills.
Now, the problems. I had a bad feeling about the high bidder from the start; no reason, just one of those gut feelings. They never contacted me with questions during the auction. I shipped promptly when they paid. Then they decide to e-mail me that they suspect the item is a fake and I will receive negative feedback if it is. I replied saying that my feedback is important to me and asking that they contact me after verifying the lighter's authenticity and before leaving neg/neut feedback. The next response was that they wanted a return and would leave me five star feedback if I accepted.
I started jumping for joy at that message! Could there be a more clear cut case of feedback extortion? I reported them and considered the matter closed.
Last night, they filed for a return with the reason being that the item is a fake. They 'had a local dealer verify it and he is 95% certain it's fake.' I called eBay and, after two hours of frustration, finally got the return escalated into a dispute. Now, he has five days to prove through an authorized DuPont dealer that it is a fake.
What totally and completely frustrates me is the hold on my PayPal account. They have placed a hold for almost $250, putting my account in the negative. I have auctions ending this week. Because of that hold, when my buyers pay me, that money will be completely unavailable to print their shipping labels. eBay's response to paying for the shipping labels is to "deposit money into PayPal to bring the balance into a positive number." One, I don't have the money. Two, the lighter is real and the buyer is trying to force a return out of buyers remorse. Three, screw you eBay/PayPal! I don't have the money.
So, yeah. That's where I stand right now. I don't know if any of you have advice for me or not; but, I feel better just being able to rant a little bit to people who understand.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm moving on Saturday. Communication with me will be spotty probably through the next week or two. I believe I'm caught up on all my transaction here and don't want to start any new ones until I'm somewhat settled. I'll update when I'm back
