Title: Commission Issues
Post by: artful_fox_customs on April 02, 2017, 10:46:02 AM
So I post my commission status on sever different platforms, right? Well today, I had someone come into my chat acting as if they were interested. Then they commented on my page asking if I could just send them the clay. And now they are complaining about how much shipping would be.... Oh well such is the life of commissioners.   -_- -_- -_-
Anyone else ever had this happen before?

It's very common that people underestimate the amount of work that go into commission, or expect you to give them something for free. I would just block them or stop responding. I've had to deal with plenty people like that ^^

When I did freelance design, the people who wanted special treatment and extra accommodations just because it was more convenient for them were hands down my biggest grumps and complainers. Annoying but eventually you can spot them from a mile away

I've had this happen to me as well and it's not very nice, especially when everything is hand made with love and the best materials.

I've had folks email me saying my shipping is ridiculous. Shipping costs what it costs, you have no control over how much a mail service charges. Personally I'll never agree to send an item uninsured or untracked as at the end of the day it is protection for both you and your buyer.

There are plenty of lovely customers out there who will be happy to pay the prices you charge. It's a shame that one person has the upset you.

As dragonfly said, you learn to spot these people a mile off after a time ;)

Love pkw xxx

My rule of thumb would be if anyone is unreasonably nit picky, they are not worth your time, hassle, or possible profit.
