Ok I’ve been away for a long time since my oldest was born. Who is this?!

I have a pony character who I've retired and am looking to rehome.    I have 8 years' worth of art and two customs of him, so was asking $40, but I thought I'd pop him in here as well.  If you like him, I could probably be tempted with art as well, since he's over budget lol.  http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,386574.0.html

The yellow and pink pony that I posted won the art contest that I had designed her for!  The prize was a custom sculpted filly and I chose Vessa, of course.  So I'm super excited to see her!

Thanks!  It's good to be back. 

I've played around with quite a few different pony styles since I was last here regularly.  It's particularly funny to go back and see the different ways I've drawn Vessa over the years.  I've settled into making them much more horsey than my original designs that were very heavily influenced by G1 art.

Kestrel's tail looks so soft and floofy.  I love it!  I've always found anthro art to be difficult, but you make it look effortless. 

This looked fun, so I thought I'd try it too!    It forced me to sit down and draw wings, which have always been my least favorite because I find their anatomy difficult.  So I guess that's good!  I will stick with Vessa, but I think she's cute.    The only accessory I wear consistently these days is my diamond heart necklace, which my boyfriend gave me the night our daughter was born (is it still a push present if I had to have a c-section? Hmmmm).  But I gave her earrings too, since I typically wear those if I'm leaving the house lol.

I'm glad to see this still going! Now that my life is a little less insane, maybe I'll be able to join in for June! I may do posey anyway though, because she's adorabke.

Hi guys!  It's been way too long since I poked my nose in this neck of the woods.  Some of you may know that I had some crazy life changes in the last couple of years.  I left my jobs, had a big move across the country, ended up getting a much overdue divorce, started a new relationship with my best friend, got pregnant, left my job and moved back across the country again.  My pregnancy ended up being super high risk and I was hospitalized at 31 weeks.  My daughter was born a month early and has down syndrome and has had two surgeries (one intestional at 2 days old and open heart last month), but she's 5 months old and freaking awesome.  She's doing well and I'm finally settling into a new routine.  During our extensive hospital stays, I started drawing again!  I got an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil for an early Christmas gift when I was initially admitted to the hospital and I'm finally making digital art that I'm proud of!

I'm going to try to poke around and be more active now that I have a few minutes to myself every now and then.  But I thought I'd start by sharing my most recent creations!  The first two were for a contest, which ended yesterday.   

This is the one and only piece I've made with colored linework, which was interesting.  It kept me busy and distracted while my daughter was having her heart surgery.  The other is more my usual style.  I've played around with my ponies a lot since I started drawing them more in 2009 and I've gone from very G1-inspired to various cartoony versions to more horsey.  I'm finally at a point where I really like the final outcomes.  The pony is Whisper, who is owned by Whisper Fillies. http://runeelf.deviantart.com/art/Whisper-in-the-Garden-683940452
