Toy Box & Games Cupboard / SOLVED - Toy ID please? Robot wolf thing
« on: March 10, 2024, 03:59:17 PM »
Been meaning to post this for ages - does anyone know what this little guy is?

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I thought maybe he was a Transformer, since he reminds me a lot of Ravage, but I haven't been able to find anything on him :s He's pretty small, no logos or identifying marks on him, except there's a "3" on his underside near the base of his tail (this was difficult to photograph, but I tried! ^^;). I've tried googling various things but haven't found anything similar, so I'm hoping someone on here will recognize him!

Pony Corral / Your 2023 collection recap!
« on: December 29, 2023, 08:55:10 AM »
Following on from last year's thread :) what happened with your pony collection in 2023? Any additions or did you downsize? Did you get any grails? Did any get away? What are you hoping to do with your collection in 2024? Let us know! :silly:

Here are the additions to my herd:
Cotton Candy 3D figural keyring (Monogram) (technically the packaging just calls her "Retro Pony" but it's obviously CC XD)
G4 reboot Minty
40th ann. Cotton Candy
Zuru 5 Surprise Toy Mini Brands Fluttershy
Zuru 5 Surprise Twilight Sparkle
Zuru 5 Surprise "Frozen Moment" Twilight
G4 reboot Celestia
G4 reboot Luna (Purple ver)
G4 reboot Cadance
Egmont magazine Sunny Starscout (Winged unicorn ver)
Surprise Drinks standing ponies: main 6 + Celestia + Spike
Surprise Drinks sitting ponies: main 6
Surprise Drinks lying down ponies: main 6
G4 reboot Luna (Blue ver)
G4.5 Pony Friends Pinkie Pie w/ molded hair
G4.5 Pony Friends Rainbow Dash w/ molded hair (bought these two when I was in New York :frolic:)
Zuru 5 Surprise Rainbow Dash (annoyingly mine's been put into the "package" weirdly so you can't really *see* her, anyone know if you can re-position these?)
G3.5 Mummy Rainbow Dash
Egmont magazine Pipp Petals (Raised hoof ver)
Egmont magazine Izzy Moonbow (Raised hoof ver)
Complete set of Basic Fun 40th anniversary blind boxes (6 ponies + Spike)
Celestial pony Nova (White stripes ver)
Egmont magazine Misty Brightdawn
A New Generation Movie Friends molded mane Sunny Starscout
HQG1C Near and Deer + bonus Tradewinds plushie

So that's a total of 48 ponies (and friends), or 49 if you count plushies. ^^ Mostly 'merch' since I don't really collect G5 (so far only the magazine ponies have really caught my eye... although I guess my new Sunny is a "proper" Hasbro G5 so maybe I'm being converted!!) and this year I was either focusing on other collections or saving up for the New York trip ^^

Thrilled to finally cross the G4 reboot ponies off my list (I think I'm done with that part of G4 now!) and I'm particularly excited about getting the full set of Surprise Drinks ponies (and Spike) since I didn't think I'd ever get those. Hoping to pick up the rest of the Celestials and the Midnight Castle set in the new year :) Oh, and the other two Zuru 5 Surprise ponies I'm missing (technically I'm missing three but not bothered about Golden AJ), if I can just track them down for a decent price! I've had a devil of a time trying to find Pinkie and AJ, go fig they're my favourites too!

Excited to hear about your herds! :)

I sold an item on eBay tonight, I have international shipping set to eBay's Global Shipping Programme to save time etc - I don't get many international buyers anyway so it's not usually a problem. However today the buyer contacted me and explained they're from Puerto Rico and eBay won't let them pay for the item - it's saying shipping to their location isn't an option.

How can I proceed from here? I'm assuming the GSP doesn't ship to Puerto Rico (but then why did it let them bid on it? o.O) - I'm happy to send it via normal international post (assuming the buyer is up for it of course - I'd need to get a postage quote) but I'm not sure how to change the listing to reflect that/send them an updated invoice with the postage included/etc. :x Help!

Off Topic / Good toy-hunting spots in Manhattan?
« on: June 25, 2023, 06:36:33 AM »
Hope this is the right place to put this :)

I'm going to New York next week, first time going to the US :frolic: Anyone here know any good toy-hunting spots in Manhattan? I'm not sure how much shopping we'll be doing but I figured it might be an idea to ask you guys, get an idea of where things are and stuff ^^

*cracks knuckles* Let's have a nice happy thread about Basic Fun's upcoming releases! It'd be nice to get everything in one thread anyways, so far all the news about this year's releases have been scattered around a few threads anyway.

Out now:
40th Anniversary plushies - Glory, Moondancer, Firefly
Per Basic Fun, there will be two runs of these: One WITHOUT the "40th" mark on the hoof, and one WITH. The latter is a running change intended to be the "finalized" design for these plushies.
These DO NOT come in the boxes they were originally photographed with, it does not look like this will be "fixed" for later runs.

40th Anniversary Collector ponies - Snuzzle, Cotton Candy, Minty, Butterscotch, Bluebelle, Blossom
These are re-releases of the earlier 35th ann. release and do NOT have the altered "40th" symbols shown in earlier promo photos. The only difference from the 35th ann. releases are the 40th Ann. brushes and their packaging. edit: the 40th ann. ponies do have some subtle differences compared to the previous releases, i.e. slightly different symbols, eyes

Nova (dark blue Tootsie pose) - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPK1BKSC
(I can't find a listing for Milky Way, the light pink pony. Don't think she's up yet? LMK if I've missed it and I'll add it in!)
There are two versions of Nova: the original white-striped version, and an updated version with pink stripes. Basic Fun have stated the white version is being phased out and pink stripes will be standard going forward!

(Placeholder/mock-up photo! Does anyone have a link to the Finnish site that had the actual photo of these? I swear I saw it a day ago and now I can't find it anywhere XD)

Mini Blind Box ponies
See this post for pics and codes!

Think that's everything :)

Personally I don't know which I'm more excited for, the Celestials or the RaMC set!!! They're all soooo pretty, and I'm so thrilled to see the Celestials FINALLY coming to fruition!!! :frolic:

Pony Corral / Your 2022 collection recap!
« on: January 01, 2023, 09:52:49 AM »
Last year's thread

Had to make this thread again :) What happened with your pony collection in 2022? Did you add any, downsize... get any grails? Any ponies that got away from you? Let us know! :frolic:

Here's who joined my herd this year:
Retro Rainbow Applejack
Retro Rainbow Rainbow Dash (FINALLY managed to get my hands on these two! The last two I needed from the set, naturally they were two of my most-wanted! Still don't know what gen to consider this set XD)
Tattle Tales G5 book set - Izzy, Pipp, Sunny, Zipp - and then they re-released the figures as a Busy Book, so now I have extras. x_x Still need to figure out what to do with the doubles.
HQG1C Lil' Thunder (+ Puppy Love plushie :))
Funko Pocket POP Cotton Candy keyring
Egmont Fluttershy figure (2022 ver)
G4.5 Unicorn Party Celebration set: Ditzy, Rarity, Cadance, Fluttershy, Starlight, Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, Mrs Dazzle Cake
HQG1C Moonshimmer (Chartreuse hair version)
Egmont Princess Pipp figure
Sprinkle Medley Halloween blind bag (Wave 18)
Takara-Tomy buildable Pinkie Pie
Takara-Tomy buildable Rainbow Dash (Two more set completers! So great to get some more loose ends.)
Basic Fun repro Heart Throb
Micro Toy Box Butterscotch, Blue Belle, Firefly (I already had these - I picked up extras so I could have a set "deboxed")
Egmont Izzy figure
FF Cotton Candy
Egmont Zipp figure
Phidal G5 Busy Book: Sunny, Izzy, Zipp, Hitch, Pipp, Argyle, Phyllis (:lovey:), Sprout, Alphabittle, Queen Haven. I love these stupid little toys XD I particularly love how this set has THREE boys!!!
G4 reboot Styling Rainbow Dash
Egmont Hitch figure
Typo ornaments: Firefly, Applejack, Glory, Starshine
G4 Weebles: Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy - I couldn't resist these :lmao: They're so goofy looking! They make me laugh.
Typo ornament - Blue Belle

So counting doubles, that's 52 additions to my herd! (53 if you count the plushie) Wow, more than I realized. Though granted only 7 of those are brushables.. mostly stuck to collecting "merch" this year. But still, dang.

I'm amused that my last pony of 2022 ended up being a Blue Belle, just like last year :p

How about you? :3

Pony Corral / Lost MLP and Friends Song "Hurry" has been found!!!
« on: October 06, 2022, 09:40:53 AM »
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVKgvubKLJs

As the title says!!! The animation for the song "Hurry", which was edited out of "The Glass Princess (Part 4)" at some point after its first airing, has finally been found!

There's talk in the comments about getting a proper rip (the video linked above is a camrip), hopefully that'll happen soon ^_^ But even a camera recording of it is fantastic. I honestly never thought we'd see this animation again, I thought for sure if it hadn't turned up by now then it probably never would... omg ;A; I can't believe it.

Now we have the missing footage... any new theories why it was cut? The main suggestions seem to be either because the Bushwoolies run with scissors at one point, or some idiot heard "what we need is speed" and freaked out. I'm somewhat sceptical of it being the former since that bit only lasts a very brief amount of time... I could definitely see it being a problem, sure, but I'd have thought it'd be easier to just replace that one bit of footage rather than cut the entire sequence. :s The speed thing seems a bit more plausible to me, god knows I've heard some insane complaints along those lines regarding cartoons, esp. back in the day... What do you guys think?

The other day, I found this cutie at a comic shop:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Unfortunately I have no idea who she is! She was sitting behind the counter, loose (unboxed), and apparently she was the last one they had left so they just sold her to me as-is. The receipt lists has as "Cassy Cat Blind box", but I've been googling that and I can't find anything that looks like my girl here (though the Cassy Cat figures that do come up on Google are VERY tempting :silly:). Thing is that neither of the staff working could remember for sure what line she was from... again, she was unboxed so no barcode or anything to scan, they had to look her up manually when selling her to me... and it was like 5 mins before closing, so it's totally possible they just took a stab at the line name and hoped for the best, you know? :x

(I do think she was a blind-packaged item originally though, given that the staff had unboxed her themselves and had her on display; they usually only do that with blind boxes.)

It's a bit difficult to see in the photo, but on the back of her head it says "Mi Angie". I've tried googling that and nothing at all comes up :/

Does anyone know who she is, what line she's from, etc? :) I would love to know, especially if there's any other characters in the line so I can get her some friends :P

Pony Corral / Are these all the boys made for the G4 toyline?
« on: April 20, 2022, 10:12:41 AM »
Another "updating my wishlist and I have questions" post...

So I've compiled a list of (what I think is) all of the G4 boys... that they made toys of, I'm not interested in cartoon-only characters. (Well, I'm not uninterested in them, but y'know. Not what I'm looking at right now) Have I missed any?

Again I'm not looking for show-only characters, I'm also only looking at male PONIES here, so no Discord, Spike, etc.
I am looking for boys released in female molds! Like Prism Glider and Neon Lights. I'm also interested in any that only had obscure merch releases like Sunburst if I'm missing any more of those!

Trenderhoof (Flim raised hoof mold)

Fashion Style Shining Armour
Fashion Style Soarin'

Reboot/movie line (did we ever settle on a moniker for these btw?):
Shining Armour
Big McIntosh

Soarin'

Misc:
Sunburst (Egmont magazine figure)

I'm less interested in the non-blind bag/brushable releases (like the Funko Big Mac, Chupa Chups Dr. Whooves, GoH Cheese) so that's why I didn't bother to list all of those, right now I'm mainly focusing on blind bags. Y'all can list those too if you want though, would be nice to have those all in one place I guess. I just listed Sunburst since that was the only toy release of him.

Also some of these were released multiple times, like there were different variants of the Big Mac blind bag (translucent, Halloween, etc), but I just listed once per character/mold since I figured it'd get confusing/overly lengthy otherwise.

Hi - does anyone have comparison photos (or can just tell me, lol, either's fine) of the Wave 14 and Wave 16 Trixie blind bags? I'm wondering if there's a significant difference between them or not - from the pics on MLP Merch it looks like wave 16 might be darker, but it could just be the lighting or whatever. I know other blind bag ponies have had colour differences between releases so I was wondering if that was the case here! I'm updating my wishlist and wasn't sure if I needed the w16 ver for my Trixie army or not :)

Thanks in advance!

Pony Corral / Your 2021 collection recap!
« on: December 29, 2021, 12:59:52 PM »
Inspired by last year's thread - what happened with your pony collection this year? :) Any additions? Did you downsize? Get any grails? Any that slipped through your fingers? :frolic:

Here's who joined my herd this year:

Hershey's Treasure Surprise Rarity (FINALLY managed to get my hands on her :3)
Egmont Rainbow Dash (March 2021 ver)
Funko POP: Butterscotch, Cotton Candy
Retro Rainbow Main 6: Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight. Still on the lookout for AJ and RD... there's always one or two that eludes you, eh? ;)
Funko POP Snuzzle, Blossom, Minty
Egmont Applejack (May 2021 ver, brushable hair)
G4.5 Trixie - both vers
D&D crossover set
Micro Toy Box Firefly, Butterscotch, Bluebelle
Rainbow Dash - anyone remember those less-detailed G4s that popped up some years back, in the little plastic baggies? My local-ish Entertainer got some more stock of them in, and I realized I actually somehow never got a brushable G4 Dash...
G4 movie/reboot Cheerilee (did we ever settle on a moniker for this G4 design?)
Egmont Sunny Starscout (My first G5! And so far, my only; let's see if that changes in 2022)
Egmont Rainbow Dash (2019 ver, the "dynamic pose" ver as MLPMerch calls her)
Funko Pocket POP Blossom keyring (Xmas present ^^)

HQG1C:
Courage
Rhythm
Flow
High Hopes
Pizzazz
Rhyme
Whirl

So that's 34 new ponies for me this year ^^ Got a couple still in the mail too (a HQG1C, and apparently there may or may not be another meant-to-be-an-xmas-present-but-it-didn't-arrive-in-time POP on the way...), but unless they arrive in the next couple of days, I suppose they'll end up being my first ponies of 2022!

How about you? :)

Pony Corral / Egmont magazine ponies (UK) - When were these two released?
« on: November 30, 2021, 01:38:19 PM »
I was updating my collection spreadsheet just now and I realized I'm missing notes on some ponies... I know it's a real shot in the dark, but I was wondering if anyone on here could help me fill in the blanks for some of the Egmont magazine ponies-?

By any chance, does anyone know the month (I know they were both released in 2019) and/or magazine issue no. that these two ponies were released with?

Rainbow Dash (Dynamic Pose)
Trixie w/ hat and cape

Specifically I'm looking for info on when these were released in the UK (I know they were all released at different times in different places). Just for my own curiosity and records, you know? Atm I have Trixie tentatively pegged as a September 2019 release, and I suspect RD was either October or November 2019 since I was out of commission at the time and wasn't able to go on pony hunts... I've tried Googling but it's hard to find specific info about these guys.

Again, I know this is a real long shot, so any info you guys might have would be awesome ^^

13
As the title says - I was sorting through stuff recently and found the leaflet that came with the glow-in-the-dark Lucky Pets blind boxes, and I can't find any info online about the pets advertised on the reverse side:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

(hope that's a big enough scan!)

Couldn't find anything for them on Google, and they're not on LPSMerch or Toy Sisters... but admittedly I'm not really up-to-date on LPS these days so it's totally possible I'm missing something. Did this set actually go into production or were they cancelled at the last minute?

(While I'm on the subject, are LPS still widely available in the US? Here in the UK they've been pretty much impossible to find for years now... can't remember the last time I saw them in a regular, non-discount store over here. Sometimes, once in a blue moon, TK Maxx or Home Bargains gets them in, but that's about it. Yet when I went to Zurich back in 2019, I found them in several places... What's it like in *your* neck of the woods? Just out of curiosity :))

Off Topic / How many Disney animated films have you seen?
« on: November 06, 2021, 09:05:09 AM »
I've seen various versions of these lists floating around the net over the years, but they were always missing something or other, so I decided to try and put together a complete-as-possible list of these. :B I only included animated films or films that included animation, so no live action stuff (otherwise we'd be here all day, the list is long enough as it is!).

Bold whichever films you've seen! I'll fill it out myself later to make it easier for you guys to copy/paste/quote this.
(If you've watched a good chunk of a film but not the whole thing, but enough of it that you feel it should count, italicize it. By "a good chunk" I mean like "I've seen half of this film..." not just "I saw two minutes of it in a YouTube video once", lol.)

MH IS BACK!!!

(For some reason that link just leads to a 404 for me, idk if maybe it's region-locked or if they just took the page down for w/e reason, it worked fine when I checked it w/ Google Cache tho. I found a repost of it here, in case anyone else can't get it to load up)

They're so pretty!! I've never seen Beetlejuice but I know the characters, these are great adaptations! I remember a lot of us wanted a BJ/MH crossover back on the old MH Arena when the crossover line first started ^^ It's nice to see MH back. I've been REALLY missing the good ol' MH days lately.
