Advice about bank Tranfer from Eire to Sweden?

Does anyone know can I do this? And about transaction fees that may be involved? I hate going into the bank to try find out about these things and then get looked at like I've ten heads! :lol:

Bank transfers between banks within Europe is nothing unusual, no one at your bank will think you are strange for asking about the details at your specific bank. Fees are different between different banks :)

You will need the other person's Iban/Bic number to do the transfer.

Since you're both in the SEPA (Single Euro Payments) area, you can make a SEPA bank transfer in €€€ using the other person's IBAN/BIC codes and possibly address (my bank requires it, I'm not sure if this is universal). The only way to find out about possible fees is to ask the bank (I say possible since in my bank SEPA payments are free). Also, the recipient's bank may charge them for conversion to SEK.

Thanks for the help, no my worry was because its different currencies that it would be more difficult and would cost a lot in fees, and being Sunday I can't call up and ask :P 

I must ask tomorrow :P

I see. For you it should be fairly simple. The only difficulty is that you cannot always know how much the recipient's bank will charge them for conversion.
