I bought another pony for my partner....  And I have two more on my watchlist!! I can't stop!!! I need to buy extras and wrap up the box already so I won't be tempted to buy more!!!!

So I went to walmart today and they had a full supply of the Wave 1 DOTD dolls. It seemed very random to me! Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the 3-packs. I had read on the LiveJournal that they might be restocked soon as well. BUT I snagged B&W Frankie for $4.13!!!!! I'm so glad I was patient!! So to any of y'all who don't have her yet, keep checking walmart!

I've got one more pony on the way (I couldn't resist!) and I actually think I might be ready to ship in a week or so. I think I'm going to send out my package a bit early. I can't wait for my partner to get it!  And I see lots of questions.  I'll have to go through and answer them all again later.

I have been wondering about this myself. Has Mattel come out and said anything about why there are no dolls to be had?
Not as far as I know, but then I'm not on the LJ or any other MH boards, so I don't know if there are rumors out there. Crimson, do you know if your Target has a hard time getting the dolls? I've been reading the complaints on the thread about doll fads, and it's amazing to me that it hasn't been addressed by mattel. Are stores only getting in one case every two weeks or something? I just don't get it at all. It seems that some Walmarts never got any Cupids, and there won't be any more coming in later? Whole displays go up, just to sit empty a week later, and then gradually the shelves are filled with other toys. Aren't store managers upset about this? I'm so excited about Rochelle and Venus, but I'm absolutely DREADING the thought of tracking them down.

I would! I despair of finding any dolls in the stores anymore, my Wal-mart was totally wiped out yet again. It seems this is the only way to actually get anything new anymore.  I agree with you, Tropical_Sunset, I can't understand how Mattel is just letting the shelves sit empty for so long. Have they said anything official about production problems??

Does anyone know if Cupid is going to be stocked at Walmarts again, or, um, ever? The Walmarts near me all had that stupid "inventory error" sign in place of Cupid. I have never seen her in person and I live near a lot of different Walmarts.
I'm really picky when it comes to the doll and her makeup and such, so buying online isn't an option for me (not that it would be anyway, the prices for Cupid online are ridiculous!) I really want her, but I feel like I may have missed out. I guess what really gets me is that I never had a chance to begin with. She never came here. :/
I'm not sure if Cupid will ever be restocked.  I only saw her once in one Walmart. I haven't seen any of the 1600 dolls in weeks either. It's really a shame. I was holding off on getting Frankie, and now, again, I might be too late. And of course, none of the 12 Targets in my area have the Clawdeen/Howleen set. Grrrrrrrrr.....

I think I'm all done with pony buying, but I'm watching a few more auctions just to see if I can stuff some more in the box. As for questions.... Symbol retouching: I don't mind rubbed symbols, so I'd prefer them to remain as-is. Nirvanas: I have 2 Peru Lickety Splits and 3 Italian Lickety Splits. More are always welcome! I think Italy LS is especially pretty. Customs: I also prefer G3 or G1 customs. I'm not a fan of G2s or G3.5s. *dodges fakies*

This is a great idea Tuney. Good for you! I think I might join. I've got to save up for moving in a couple months... and if it's only for April I can buy MH dolls again when Rochelle comes out in May!! So yes, count me in. I'll need lots of moral support though!! Temptation is everywhere.

I'm glad to hear it went well, tuney! Your parents need to accept and love you for who you are. Moms are usually more accepting about stuff like that. (I know my mom is! My dad thinks it's a waste of money.) It's what makes you happy, and you're a great person.
