Pony Corral / Re: Who was the very first G3 you ever bought?

Either Minty, Sparkleworks, or or Sunny Daze. Don't remember, I got so many so fast.

I love G3 Waterfire's colors, but her neck is stretched way too far around. I think she'd be cool in donkey pose or rearing pose, though I love my custom G1 Waterfire in sitting pose.

I think they're okay as a budget or limited space option, and good enough to play with for kids, but not really something I would want in my collection. I'd rather have something that folds up winto a proper building.

Pony Corral / Re: Will it ruin the collectable value if I open the box?
« on: September 29, 2020, 06:08:31 PM »
For collectibles that are intended to be displayed in box, the vast majority tend to remain in box, so the loose vs in box value isn't as different as, say, a popular kids toy. Look at MLP vs Star Trek toys from the late 80s/early 90s. MLP in box are $100+ while Star Trek are around $10+ even though they sold for around the same price point at the time. MLP are much easier to find loose than in box, so there's a wide gap in value. The modern boxed anniversary G1s are aimed at nostalgic adults so they will most likely tend toward Star Trek's pitiful pricepoint rather than G1 MLP's pricepoint as far as new in box.

Mine was Beach Ball. I rescued her from my little sister's daycare as a kid in the 00s.

$25 for either Paradise or Scrumptious, with like new flocking.

Yeah some bears definitely get more merch than others. I don't see much of Birthday, Friend, Secret, Tenderheart, Champ, or the cousins.

I adore Beddy Bye Eye babies. I have the complete set already, but every time I see one, I want it. I naturally have a few duplicates, and its reasonable self control that has thus far kept it to only a few duplicates! I just really love them. I think they are sweet and cannot understand why they creep so many people out.
As a Furby fan I totally relate.

I'm glad to see Wish get some love. I love his color.

Unpopular opinion: if it does not seem to be (semi) permanent damage, don't refer to it as a stain.
When I first read this I disagreed strongly but the more I thought about I realized this is true, especially since by Google's definition it means "mark that is not easily removed"
 Now if only more people would realize that.

She's the same pose as baby stocking and baby white valentine twin, who are also both white ponies with re hair, so it's not a huge deal that I'll probably never own her.

I love dark hair on white ponies so I'll love this week's theme! Cherry Treats was one of my very first ponies as a kid! She still has nice hair and is fairly white. You can see her in my icon.

Let people modify or decard their own possessions without making them feel bad.  Shouldn't be an unpopular opinion but it seems to be.
