Cleaning G4 Twisty Twirly Hairstyles ponies
« on: May 22, 2023, 12:00:23 AM »
In the recent lot I've grabbed there were two of Twisty Twirly Hairstyles ponies with pretty dirty hair. I've noticed that their hair is made of yarn and some strands are covered with some waxy substance that's now covered in lint and dirt. Is there any way to clean them? I assume hot water will melt and wash the wax out, but will they remain styleable? I there a way to rewax them? I have natural beeswax and could probably get some paraffin wax so I could theoretically rewax them that way, but I'm not sure if a) it'll work b) it's worth the effort. Any advice?
Is a total cheapskate.

I don't think these gained a ton of traction and I've not had to try to clean them yet. I would look into how people clean waxed fabric or candles, but it depends on how they're dirty.
