I agree with pretty much everything that's been said in the above posts.
I also wanted to add how much I like the Arena and its vast resources. I enjoy reading long informative and detailed posts and have learned so much.

First, let me say, it's very difficult for me to accept that the G3 line is 15 years old! Time went much too fast.
And I enjoy reading threads like this because I have fallen into the G3 trap as well. Recently began to pick these up locally and got a couple that I really liked (Dream Drifter is my current favorite) and began to realize how cool G3's really are.

Does anyone have a best estimate on the current going rate for the Dream Castle with and without accessories?
What are the differences between the pink and lavender castles?
What about the Show Stable/Home Sweet Home/Megan's Place: What is the estimated pricing on those?
It seems the Show Stable is by far the most common - how HTF are the other sets?
Brushes, combs and ribbons - when they are sold a la carte - What is average pricing on common items?
Any insight you can give would be great as I'm looking to save up for some new additions to my collection.

This is one of the things I love about this community. As a US collector - I know very little about ponies released outside the US. I read this post on my lunch break at work yesterday and then went home and made it a point to look at my Baby Starbow compared to the EU version pictured here.
To answer the post, I think the one I own is my favorite (US version) but I really enjoy reading posts like this. I feel like it opens up a whole new dimension of MLP for me.

I was at that in-between age during the US G2 era - so I don't know much about this generation. I don't have her but certainly would pick her up if I ever found her.

I'm a G1 enthusiast but the G3's are really starting to grow on me.
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm not sure whether I own her or not. G3's are plentiful and very 'value' priced in my area, so I've been acquiring them in large quantities and I don't have a complete inventory at the moment. I will say, that if I don't have her - she is definitely on the want list.

I'm 110% on board with the theory that HASBRO was feeding the naming committee some cocktails as they brainstormed. Especially in the G3 era - some of those names... Scootaloo, Razzaroo....
As far as Sundance - I'm in agreement with the popular horse name consensus - especially since she was sold wearing a bridle and with Megan. However, I agree with you as well - with a name like Sundance - you would think that a sun or some other celestial art would be part of her symbol, like G2 Sundance. I think when G1 Sundance was released that pink was still in high demand for girl toys, so they marketed based more on color scheme (pink & white) than symbol logic.
