I'm playing as Maya too! I love her skills. The game is hilarious... I love the things enemies say when you kill them. "Almost... paid off... my houuuuuuse!" LMAO
I think one of my favorite things to do is to try to figure out where the big loot chests are. I hop around looking for ways to get on different rocks and roofs... and usually end up annoying the person I am playing with lol. But it's so much fun! And the slot machines? I can play them for hours...

Haven't yet defeated the Kimono girls as the Pokemon still need some work.. I'm not sure they're ready to take on the Elite 4 yet, but it's frustrating as there's nowhere to train in SS -.- not entirely sure as the DS is upstairs atm, but I think my highest level is 40/41 and the lowest is 33/34.

I was playing The Walking Dead, but I got reeeaaallllyyy freaked out at the sewer part and haven't played since xD:O You have to play it to the end it's great! Was definitely worth the 800msp in the Christmas sale, would have been happy to pay more for it as well. I got creeped out in the farmhouse (Episode 2?) I was in an Xbox Live party with my brother-in-law at the time and he kept telling me to go upstairs and I knew I'd find something creepy, I was home alone and it was about 10pm or something I got so scared lol :P

So tax return came back and I should have saved my portion, but I lack all self-control. Within the hoard of stuff I ordered from Amazon was the game The World Ends With You. I played it years ago, got stuck and sold it off. Regretted that decision for a long time, so I ordered a shiny new copy and started it tonight. I forgot how hard this game was! I also forgot how undeniably awesome the soundtrack is.
Hubbs is playing Dead Space 3. Not as good as the other two so far, but maybe it's because we're becoming immune to the game's attempts to scare us. It still has its freaking creepy moments, though!
Just started Avalon Code for the DS. It's weird, if you run out of MP you're kind of out of luck. If there's no enemies to kill or things to break you're stuck, and just killing enemies and breaking things doesn't always mean you get MP back. Not sure I like that. The game would be incredible if it wasn't for that annoyance.

I remember when the original first one was new. *feels old* The programer had misspelled Rumpelstiltskin's name and we had try figuring out the "right" wrong way to spell it. I think my very computer-savvy uncle had hacked into the programming to discover how it was spelled.
In the second one, I broke out into a cold sweat :sweat: when I had to take care of Dracula. I was freaked out that I wouldn't do it fast enough and that would be the end of me!
I been playing alot of Sims 3, I got a new alien and then some kids came out of the time machine... So it's been pretty crazy. I find the game relaxing and I can walk away for a minute and they keep doing their own thing.

I beat Tomb Raider last night...OMG, it devoured all of my free time for the past week. I loved it, and it's the first game I've beaten with 100% of all collectibles and treasures in a LONG time. I'll probably play at some Uncharted 2 this weekend, waiting for my new game next week.

I have also recently gotten into Plants vs Zombies Adventures on FB (and I swore I'd never get into a FB game but it's PvZ so I had to) in anticipation of PvZ2.Oh lordy I love TF2, my pick is usually the engineer. I have also recently gotten into Plants vs Zombies Adventures on FB (and I swore I'd never get into a FB game but it's PvZ so I had to) in anticipation of PvZ2.Oh lordy I love TF2, my pick is usually the engineer. YES!!! They're stuffed to the brim full of engrossing stories and memorable characters. The game logic is a little...odd sometimes, but the sheer fun factor makes up for it. There's just something immensely satisfying about burying a total jerk under a mountain of evidence. :biggrin: There is an overarching story throughout the series, so start with the first one if you can.

I love it and I have the "watered down" Wii version. I haven't played skylanders though. My husband and I both were having fun creating in the toy box, even with the limitations on our version. Part of the appeal for me is the fact that it is Disney characters.

Point and Clicks are iffy for me. Some I've played have been great, others not so much. This one? Amazing. I'm only through Gorristers story so far. Love the dialog.

The hand drawn sprites and backgrounds are amazing, it feels like playing a Disney movie. Well given, with rather a bit more monster chopping then usual. The gameplay is just up my alley too, so I'm really enjoying it.

I started playing Majora's Mask last night. It's hard! xD I feel like I'm having to rush everywhere and can't take the time to wander around. When I saved and quit a little while ago, I was 5 hours away from the moon falling because it took me so long to find the first temple.
I'm getting disney infinity for christmas! I really want the frozen 3ds game and the gremlins gizmo ds game. Also, I found a gameboy at savers with a megaman game!
I got a DS 3D for Christmas and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance so I've been playing that quite a lot :) I've already beat it twice lol. I'm also playing Bejeweld 3 on the computer and my sister and I love it!

It is, but it's known more for it's challenging gameplay than for its tone. So if you're going for atmosphere, it's good, but that's not really where the game's focus is, if that makes sense.
I'm such an idiot. I just bought what I thought was a new (or at least one I had not seen before) Mario (Super Mario 3D) game at Target for the Wii- got home only to realize it was a game for Wii-U. >_<

Unfortunately, Window 7 is an idiot and 'hid' several important game folders, so I can't install my custom petz into my game. D:Hey, I was just coming here to say I started playing that game again too! :D If you reinstall it to My Documents or something that usually fixes it, and it's an easy google to find how to un-hide folders.

The demo really put me off too.. the combat just seemed whacko ! Might need to do more investigating now that it's out.

I'm waiting for the mail because Animal Crossing is out for delivery. I can't wait to play it. Also, I'm picking up the Grand Wizard Edition of South Park: The Stick of Truth on the PS3 later on today. I preordered it last Fall, so I'm happy to see it finally being released after all the delays.

I played a little while last night and it was pretty cool. especially the AR movie at the beginning where the girl runs all over my kitchen counter all upset, lol.I've just tired the demo for a bit and it's great so far. :) At first, I was confused by the strange name, but it made sense after all :lol: I'll probably buy the full version in a month or two.

That's definitely one of the greatest games I've ever played. Beautiful soundtrack, characters, and story. Mortis Ghost is a genius.SpoilerI personally believe he's a bad guy. At least from what I believed as people tried to help me understand the game better after I played it because it didn't click with me right away. I was mortified, and told everyone about it. I just didn't get it. And then someone told me, "You know you just killed everyone right? Even your wife and baby." The part with him going outside the rain to just kill the scared guy who was in the way and walking back in like it was nothing though..
I know somewhere on one of my tumblrs is a post of headcanons I had and things I noticed while playing, but its rather far back and I don't feel like digging it up.

Do you know about the mistranslation?SpoilerHugo isn't their son. When the Queen says, "I won't let you harm the son that WE brought into the world." that's wrong. In the original French version she says, "I won't let you harm the son that brought US into the world." Hugo is their creator. Maybe even the entire world of OFF. Like they reside inside him, as a part of his body (this is what I believe).
Hugo wasn't "pure". He was sick. The Queen was keeping him that way. The Batter knew in order to save everyone, they all had to die. Hugo, the world, was suffering. I kind of equate the Batter as an immune system. It has a very important job to do, and it does it very well, but sometimes it harms the thing that it's trying to protect.
I'm taking a break from SMT IV to play Tomb Raider (it was free on PS+). I'm significantly more entertained by in then I thought I would be - it's actually pretty engaging and has a nice look to it as well!

Nightmare fuel for some. It's an indie game made by a few French dudes on RPG Maker 2003. It's definitely unique. Gameplay-wise it's an RPG. The story is... something else. I can't really explain it because it's not like anything I've played before. It has horror elements but not in the usual way. It has the potential to be very disturbing. Parts of it just kinda make you stare at the screen for a minute or two :P
It's available for free. Pretty sure the link is Arena friendly - Link (http://forum.starmen.net/forum/Fan/Games/OFF-by-Mortis-Ghost).
I strongly advise you to not spoiler it for yourself if you want to play it. People interpret it in very different ways, and if you read someone else's idea of what is going on it might sway you in that direction, and OFF is better left to figure out on your own.
edit: I should mention that the version available in that link has the mistranslation that caused so much trouble fixed. So no need to worry about that anymore :)

I've decided to take it upon myself to beat all the original spyro games before the The Legend Of Spyro reboot happened (excluding spin-off titles unless I manage to find one) 100%How do you define original Spyro titles? There are so many of them out there now that I can't even keep up. I like the idea of going back and playing at least the first two, though. Those were the good old days. ;)
So first three games, no biggie, I could play year of the dragon for the rest of my life and be happy.
But now I have to play Enter the Dragonfly and I just.. no. No. It's so bad.
It was the first spyro game made by a new company and it was rushed so it has crappy graphics, bugs, and so many glitches.
What have I done to myself :c I can only stand it for a few hours a day, luckily it seems to be pretty short due to it being rushed so maybe it wont go on forever and I can get back to Hero's Tail which is somewhat better.

As for me, I am in the biggest gaming slump of my life right now. I have a huge pile of unplayed/unfinished games next to my TV, not to mention the hundreds of games I have to play on Steam, and I just don't... care... about playing anything right now. And gaming is my life, so that's saying something. So when I say I don't care, that basically means that all I'm doing right now is falling back on the old standards: Elder Scrolls games, Fallout, Animal Crossing... and maybe a bit of Pokemon, though I'm even kinda tired of that right now.
I've decided to take it upon myself to beat all the original spyro games before the The Legend Of Spyro reboot happened (excluding spin-off titles unless I manage to find one) 100%How do you define original Spyro titles? There are so many of them out there now that I can't even keep up. I like the idea of going back and playing at least the first two, though. Those were the good old days. ;)
So first three games, no biggie, I could play year of the dragon for the rest of my life and be happy.
But now I have to play Enter the Dragonfly and I just.. no. No. It's so bad.
It was the first spyro game made by a new company and it was rushed so it has crappy graphics, bugs, and so many glitches.
What have I done to myself :c I can only stand it for a few hours a day, luckily it seems to be pretty short due to it being rushed so maybe it wont go on forever and I can get back to Hero's Tail which is somewhat better.
Please play Spyro Season Of Flame. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! :D

I'm going into town in a couple of hours to pick up the copy of Bravely Default I ordered at WalMart...my best friend promised it was good, so it better be! The last game she promised was good totally kicked my ass, so I'm not sure... :P (Tales of the Abyss...gah!)I liked Bravely Default a lot! The plot's a bit weak in places (and there's a point or two where you'll pretty much have to stop and grind, probably), but the characters really shine.

Okami is such a beautiful game! We sold off our PS2 when we moved a few years ago and I deeply regret it because the Wii port of Okami just is not the same.

Oh, my undergrad thesis was on horses in Tolkien, so I know all about that. ;P When I'm done with my master's thesis I'm planning to combine the two and hopefully publish it as a book. :DOh, I know. Petz Beach for the 3DS. I know a lot of people would dismiss this cuz it's part of the Petz franchise, but I wish they wouldn't. It is actually made by a Japanese company called MTO Power. This game reminds me of a combination of Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. It's a lot of fun and very addicting.I miss the old Petz games by PF Magic. I played them up to Petz 4 and was extremely involved in the online communities and stuff. This was back in the late 90s and early 2000s when I still had dial-up internet! Eventually I realized that I was actually addicted to the games and cut myself off cold turkey. I still have all of my petz saved on a floppy disc somewhere, though. ;) It's so funny, though, that that stuff was so long ago that the websites where people usually talked about and traded Petz don't exist anymore. It was like a whole different world and a dark part of my personal history (yes, I'm being dramatic for the humor). Anyway, so I would be the last person in the world to dismiss any of the Petz games as not being video games. ;P I might have to try the one you mentioned -- I've continued to -not- follow the games to this day, but I think I can contain myself enough to try Petz Beach. ;)

Been going back and forth with playing Smash Bros 3DS and Tomodachi Life. Mainly TL since I want to try and collect the food, clothing, hats & rooms within the game. Not even gonna bother with some of the challenges for Smash, lol.
I really want to get Kid Icarus: Uprising, but like no store in my area is selling it right now, and copies online are super expensive. Ugh.

I've been itching to replay the first three Spyro games! Ripto's Rage was probably my favorite one of the three.
Me and my boyfriend just finished playing PSX Crash Bandicoot (finished with only about 70% compelte) and now we plan to play Spyro the Dragon. Spyro is my favourite childhood game, so it's a must be 100% at the end. 8D

DA:I. While I am enjoying it I am one of the few people that loved DA:2 and I miss a lot of the mechanics they experimented with in that game. I am also not bonding with my Inquisitor and wish we could have a return of the Warden or Hawke...
I used to be of the mind that a new hero each game was cool but I feel like this game would have been better as a continuation of one of their stories instead of an all new one. Oh well, still, it's fun enough.

I loved Origins because it did things I hadn't seen before in a game and I loved DA:2 for the same reason. With DA:I I feel like I'm playing a watered down Origins with a watered down Hawke. I also miss the rivalry bar so much! It added so much to the game and now your party just passive aggressively disapprove all the time.
I admit I went ahead and spoiled the whole game for myself on youtube to see if it was worth playing through all the way and I still haven't made up my mind if it is yet. I really want to play the mission with Hawke but I just don't know if I'm going to make it. In other news, I am highly enjoying all the bug videos my bf has been sending of his playthrough.

Is this available at Amazon or thereabouts? I have played the original a few times. I had it when it was brand stinking new and you had to install it with about a dozen floppies. *is old* We even had to solve the puzzles without help.

Yup. My Allosaurus busted loose and ate all my guests.....Well.....Not all....But alot. Turns out you can't pick them up while they are eating guests so there wasn't much to be done. Oh well. They were annoying guests anyway. Though using Alfred Hitchcock's birds to chase all 1000 guests out of the zoo because they were all annoyed that the zoo was "too crowded" was great fun. Then I had giant birds flying around the zoo for the rest of the scenario. It was awesome.

When I stopped playing I assumed I had a few more hours to go before the final battle but was rather surprised to find out I only had about 20 minutes!I have such a backlog of Tales games, too! I think Graces is the only one I actually finished... so I, too, need to get on playing those! Probably need to finish a few before I get Tales of Hearts (which I keep almost buying and then telling myself no).
Now to finish Tales of Innocence, the Tempest, Graces f (yeah, right!), Symphonia, and the Abyss. I love Tales games, just not finishing them, apparently.

I just bought The Witcher 3, so that's eating up many, many hours of my time. :) I'm likely buying Puzzle Dragon (May 22) and Splatoon (May 29) when they release. And I'm considering getting Elder Scrolls Unlimited for PS4 when it releases--I'm curious to see what reviews will say about the console release. The PC one last year did so-so, but now that it is ftp and since they've had time to work on the console version, I am intrigued.
All of this doesn't even begin to mention my Dragon Age: Inquisition playthrough where I'm romancing Solas.SpoilerI know it's gonna end sad.

Is Hearts for the Vita? Because I have put a Vita in my Amazon basket 4 times this week, and taken it out 4 times as well. I don't tend to stick with handheld games much. I have the PS2 version of Abyss and I'm going to restart it on that system. The 3DS just doesn't do it for me, which is why Innocence and Tempest remain unfinished (aside from Tempest just not being very good).
I just remembered I also have the Xillia games but have not started them and I just saw there is a new Tales game I can't pronounce coming out later this year.
Tales of the Abyss on 3DS is great (on my 2nd playthrough) but for one point: the dungeons are so dark that if you play with daylight, it's very hard to see where you're going.I can definitely understand that about the dungeons. Glad to hear it's good, though! I really need to get a copy before they become even more scarce than they already are!
Tales of Symphonia is my favorite RPG game, I've finished 10-12 times I think, since you can change the story lightly depending of your affinity with the other characters.

Will do! There are actually a lot of really good J-RPGs on Vita. For instance, the Hyperdimension Neptunia series has been re-made and released on Vita -- and the remake is so much better than the original! I'm also playing Ragnarok Odyssey Ace on there, and it's better to play that game with other people online, but I don't know anyone else who plays it. :(Awesome! yes, alcohol can definitely help anyone get better at FPS games. :D :wine:

I am considering playing Borderlands with my boss. I can use my leveled character to ease her into her new character's first steps. But mostly I think I will have her play Ratchet & Clank, since it has basically all the elements she's looking for (explosions, weapons, loot) but isn't a FPS I can't play very well.

I have to say, I've enjoyed the Wii U version. Took me a while to finally get around to playing it, but it's lots of fun! I'll probably pick up the 3DS version when it comes out.
Picked Ori and the Blind Forest and Banner Saga. Haven't touched Banner Saga yet but OH MY GOD ORI IS AMAZING. It's like playing through a Studio Ghibli movie! The game is breathtakingly beautiful (and will also have you bawling your eyes out in the first ten minutes).
Gameplay is pretty forgiving. I've died a lot but you aren't harshly punished for it. I'm not a fan of platformers so I appreciate that they still made it engaging for people like me. I definitely recommend picking this up! It's only $20 at regular price, but I think it's around $15 with the sale.
Does anyone want to play Diablo III on PS3 with me? Anyone (anyone... echo... echo...)? Lol, it seems like I'm the only person playing it these days. I'm trying to convince my brother to get a copy, but that's not happening right now while he's making ends meet on a part-time job (feel no sympathy for him -- in a month he starts his first full time job and will have a starting salary that is more than double my current salary!).

Maybe you are one of the pony people who keeps creaming me - LOL! I always see pony avatars. Do people upload those or make them in the editor? Some are so complex!
I don't use a pony avatar. I have Master Chief on mine. I'm really not sure how they do those. I know you can purchase pony stuff from the online store but I've always bought game stuff when I have money. They only add on pack that I've bought was to make my character look more female in COD Ghost. One of my favorite games to date. Hopeing the new one lives up to the hype.

Finally beat Fire Emblem:Awakening. I feel kinda melancholy about it....but happy, too.
I'm pretty sunk into Fantasy Life now. I played it a lot while one vacation. It's a pretty fun game and the world is surprisingly large. I like all the side quests and all the different "jobs" you can have.
Having just completed Ratchet and Clank I've moved on to Ratchet and Clank 2: Going Commando. I love smashing stuff up with a wrench :)
Duck Hunt. I just beat my own high score on the Clay Shoot. Flopped at level 21 though. I've never made it past level 17 before.

Just bought FFXIV and the expansion on PS4...started last night. My husband has been playing for a couple of years, so we decided to buy it for me as well so we can play together. I haven't played an MMO since Guild Wars, so this is all new to me, lol.
I started playing Xillia while recovering from surgery and now, like 3 weeks later, I have no idea what the plot of the story is. Don't Percocet and game, kids.Wow, good to know. :D

Ooh I'm on FFXIV! Although I haven't logged on in a while. One thing I don't like about FFXIV; in order for you to progress to the next expansion they make you do the MSQ instead of allowing direct access if you're a high enough level. At least with WOW, you could skip all the dialogue quests (which is what majority of the expansion is made up of) unless you're into lore which I lost interest couple of quests ago >_<. Anyway, it's super fun Barbgirl! And so pretty!
Speaking of Final Fantasy, I picked up FFII again. I tried the GBA version that came with FFI, but I switched to the NES version because they lowered the difficulty so much.I don't think I ever actually beat II... but it's been a really, really long time since I played it! I should look into playing that again (and I need to finish 3 -- the real 3-- which I started several years ago).
It's pretty interesting, since it's the first Final Fantasy to have a more in depth story, but it also is as challenging as the first game. Actually, II is more difficult because of the weird leveling system. Instead of actual levels and EXP, you get stat increases by doing certain actions, like getting more MP for using a lot of MP in battle, having strength go up the more you attack, etc. It makes it harder to actually have a chance in battle as the game goes on, since your party isn't getting stronger at the same rate as the enemies.

Yeah, there is such a HUUUUGE history to the Persona series, it's a hard one to start. Not only are there Personas 1, 2, 3, 3F, and 4 (and Arena and Q), but there's also the Digital Devil Saga series and a bunch of other related games. There are even games like Catherine that are related to the series but don't say that anywhere on the packaging.Just picked up Legend of Legacy last night. I played Persona Q earlier this year. It's definitely challenging and to get the most out of it, you need to have played Persona 3 and Persona 4. There is a lot to learn in that game and it has a lot of mechanics that I hadn't really seen in an RPG before. I ultimately ended up selling it.
I totally agree with your recommendations, RingWraith. As for the Kingdom Hearts games, I really need to get the 1.5 and 2.5 remixes for my PS3. I want to start playing that series. My favorite Tales game was Tales of Vesperia. Is it sad if I still have it even though my 360 broke years ago? :lol:Of course it's not sad! If nothing else, the box art is pretty. :D That game is actually the main reason I do still plan to get a 360. I haven't played it yet.
I'm currently trying to beat the last yeti race in the super bonus level of spyro: year of the dragon >_< Even with the boost glitch and landing flips I can't beat it!!
Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer and Rune Factory 4 on my 3ds and Hyperdimension Neptunia and Disgaea 2 on my Vita.All very, very good games. :) Hyperdimension Neptunia is frustrating -- the remake for PS Vita fixed the infuriating battle system (not sure if you're playing the Vita remake version or the original or one of the off-shoots like PP...).

She loves it. I'm trying to get the hang of it still. It feels weird to have your Yokai fighting with or without your input. You brefriend them, not catch them.
