I got my first order from Dollyhair a little while ago. Some of the hanks seem very nice, while others the hair is... less than perfect. The strands are kind of kinky and uneven in diameter, giving the hair a very noticeable texture when you run it through your fingers that isn't present in the original MLP hair. Am I alone in noticing this, is it a recent problem?
Virgin Snow - uneven Firebird - slightly uneven Atomic Turquoise - uneven Electric Banana - uneven Pussycat - uneven Heartthrob - slightly uneven Arctic Frost - fine Key Lime - fine Sugarberry - fine
The fine hanks came from (presumably) an older lot since I got them second hand through the Arena.

I ask because I realized I have two in my collection. One is most definitely true pink, and one is pink-purple (and amazingly free of age spots/discoloration.) Besides the body color, they seem to be identical in markings, symbols and hair.

Make sure your seller packs them carefully, or better yet uses a box. This is how mine arrived yesterday, in a padded envelope. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThankfully they were understanding, and I got a full refund for the item's price, but yeah. Pretty sad it got destroyed, because I very much wanted the accessory.

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've had this bib since childhood; actually had two, but one got knotted beyond my child-self's ability to untangle and I cut the ties off... thing is, I cannot seem to figure out what pony it came from, or did Hasbro recycle it for another toy line? Unlike the early baby pony bibs it has faint white striping on the yellow, but is otherwise identical in size, shape, tie length and printing.

I'm trying to improve my replacement designs, and I've come to realize i think I have the attachment point wrong... So does anyone have pictures, or better yet a 1:1 scan of unbroken wings with the tabs intact? Off the pony, that is, just the wings by themselves.

Alright ladies (and gentlecolts) I come in search of your Nirvana assistance. I picked this girl up years ago at a local second hand sale. I nearly left her behind as a fakie, but her hoof turned out to be stamped ©84 HASBRO (no other markings, no made in country.) Besides that I know nothing about her, nor could I find any similar pony. Admittedly I haven't looked too hard, since she's not really a favorite. Edited to note: The Pat. Pend. part that is usually under the HASBRO in this mold is filled in, though slightly imperfectly. Her hair is good quality, comparable to the standard US/Canada releases. Her mane is two full rows, though the spacing is a bit thinner than most G1's I haven't opened her up to look inside, though one side of her neck is partially loose, the other is still factory sealed. Her eyes look like they were done with shoddy spraygun stencils. Her body color isn't photographing too well under indoor lighting (I'll try to grab some outdoor shots tomorrow, it's dark right now) but it's the oddest shade of ... dark desaturated plum I've ever seen on a My Little Pony. Any clue where she's from? Anyone seen this particular pony before? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login

Condition: I am not an ultra-picky collector; I don't buy ultra-high priced mint ponies. I know that ponies are kid's toys, and more often than not show signs of being loved over the years.
The only flaws I am not willing to accept (except perhaps on some bargain priced rares/mail orders) are: mold (aka "cancer", brown spots inside plastic), major chews/missing body parts, obvious pen/highlighter, serious head/body mismatch / body staining.
Hair condition / rehairs don't bother me in the slightest, I'll happily fix up an otherwise fine pony who's gotten hair chopped. Exceptions would be Perfume Puffs, Scribbles/Dabbles, Brush n' Grow, etc. since getting replacement hair for them isn't feasible. Loose heads are actually preferred.
I only collect G1. Please don't offer my any G2, G3, G3.5 or G4 items. =3
Are you Buying Right Now?: Potentially, so long as it's ponies/items under 20$. Canadian customs are pretty steep so I'd prefer to stay under 20$ value, or order within Canada. I realize many of these aren't under 20$, which means I'm not buying them for now. Exceptions may be made for particularly HTF ponies in lots.
Trades: Yes, I'd love to trade! I still have to get my extra stuff inventoried, though. I've been out of the community for over a decade now, so my only feedback is purchases. Willing to send first to those with established trade rep.

Greetings and salutations, fellow collectors! Why am I an oldie moldy? Well the last time I participated in the pony community, MLPTP had just opened, there was still more than one popular search engine, and everyone was expected to choose a unique pony name for themselves. *chuckles* There were more than enough to go around at the time. (Anyone remember the Pony Name Registry, perchance? and webrings? How frames caused problems on a lot of sites? My Little Pony Monthly via email?) So what do I have in my stable? I collect G1 exclusively, though I do adopt lost and orphaned G3's when I come across them. I do not actively collect the G2, G3 or G4 toys; to me, G1 will always be the "real" ponies of my childhood. I'm missing about 30 ponies from the retail Can/US release, and another twenty-some odd mail orders. I've been lurking around for a while, buying a few things here and there, and figured it was about time to introduce myself, so here I am. Looking forward to trading with all of you, like old times!
