Honest Pony Names - THE best game to play with non-pony people

So my wife was asking me questions about ponies the other day - the usual questions like who is most expensive, which ones do you need to get next etc. I was showing her pictures and explaining why they were so expensive, mostly to justify me spending more of our hard-earned money on them...but anyway...

...This led to the discovery of the most amazing game to play with non pony people. It's called Honest Pony Names^TM

You basically show a non-collector photos of ponies, and they name the pony. The results are hilarious, and sometimes very sweet. I will never be able to look at some of these ponies in the same way again .

I have a G4 Twilight bank we're using for piggybank stuff. My grandparents keep saying to "Put the change you found inside the donkey." whenever they talk about it.
So aparently twilight = donkey.

My mom's always been pretty attentive and she picked up on their names quickly, so I sadly don't have any of those stories to share just yet. But I wanna add on the subject of relatives making gentle fun of MLP, my stepdad knows just barely the first part of the original G1 MLP theme song and he sings it in a really high-pitched voice whenever he sees a pony or whenever I mention one. It's kind of adorable.

My mum calls my ponies "dinosaurs" for some reason (I have mostly G4s so it's fair I guess..they don't really look like horses )

*laughs* those are fantastic names. I've got Prison Pony on a purse made by Iron Fist.
Am giving my mostly non MLP friend, she has a Dr Whooves Funko and several of the minis.  A 2008 Minty I found while thrifting. Will report back as to what she calls her.

Nice n spicey is Nigella (after a TV cook)
Posey is Ginger (I think after ginger rogers - who knows?)
His Rosedust is called Daffodil.

But the name that's really stuck and I can't think of the poor pony as anything else now - is a formerly beat-up Daddy Bright Bouquet who has had a rehair and a bandana to hide a scar on his neck  - he's now Daddy Mid-life Crisis
