Who played the role of the males in your childhood herd?

Baby Blossom!!!
he kinda had a harem till i got some boy ponies later.
he was always my hero and the main character.
other ponies became boys too, but they never stood out.

and i always thought of stripes as a boy too, though i just recently got one.
him and blossom hang out together all the time.

Growing up I only had 4 ponies: Bride Pony, Love Melody and two Streaky unicorns.  I can't remember, but if I were to guess I would say the Unicorns played the boys since they were arguably the most androgynous, however Streaky is a purple unicorn with music notes and a rainbow, so it was likely a stretch of the imagination or required a play date with a friend.

My sparkle Sky Rocket was a boy to me, I think because "he" resembled Lancer from mlp Tales.

I didn't have very many ponies growing up but I seem to recall thinking Glory was a boy. . ,

I never had ponies as a kid, but I have thought of a number of the ponies in my collection as boys. Off the top of my head- Sunlight, baby Dangles, Baby Apple Delight, and a lot of the unicorns.

The two major ones I remember are Firefly and Princess Tiffany  . When I was a kid, I always played ponies with my best friend who happened to be a boy he pretended to merely tolerate the ponies but I think he liked them more than I did. He would always play the male villain Firefly (he was so dastardly that he even had clones ie. I somehow had like five Fireflys) who was plotting to take the beautiful but shy Princess (Prim)Rose away from the good Prince Valiant (ie. Princess Tiffany).  A couple of years ago when I started getting back into ponies, I told my friend and he was aghast I hadn't bought myself a Firefly yet as obviously he was best pony so I ended up buying two one for him and one for him.... but I still can't convince him that Firefly is a girl.

This is the best ever...and I kind of want to draw it now.

As for my ponies, it had to be a clydesdale to be a boy in my herd.  So Mommy and Daddy sweet celebrations became the parents of the entire herd...except Fifi...who was the grandma pony, and baby sweet celebrations (the US version) became a girl, because "she" didn't have feathered hooves.  I had a pair of boys, Racer and Ribbs, who got into a lot of trouble.  My other adult ponies, like Posey, and Princess Sunbeam, became late teenage ponies, while my flutter ponies were preteens, or mid teens.  And yeah, basically Mommy, and Daddy Celebrations (though they were "Anniversary" in my head because I got the wrong name fixed in there) were a very prosperous couple.

Twist was the male, because she was a faded gray and I had no idea underneath the gray was a beautiful purple.
