Oh i have had some that were horrible and smelled like cig smoke! And I also have had a breyer horse that I had to sell due to it. Has to warn the buyer about it also.

Just yesterday I received a parcel with ponies for my swap partners and for up comming birthdays and the seller send them in a shoe cartoon... believe me after washing them 7 times they still have these permanent leather.shoe smell.. baahhh!

I bought a MINT Baby Princess Sparkle on eBay and she smelled like nasty mold and mildew right out of the box. Funnily enough, now that I've heard her for months, she no longer stinks. Guess she's all aired out now.

I had to get rid of a very nice sturdy box I was going to use, even after SITTING ON THE PORCH FOR A WEEK it still reeks of popcorn jelly beans. I said to the heck with it and tossed the box.

reusing boxes that are not odor free for shipping ponies is just not cool !

I got one lot this summer that smelled so much of perfume that it had to stay outside for days!  Luckily, they've aired out now.

O I have had some bad ones..mostly cigarette smoke....I bought from a seller...and I remember telling them about the horrible smell...and it took months to air out..that horrible smelly cigarette smell..and I was fine with it....she told me that she herself did not smoke but that her friend had them and thats why they smelled....lol...I was like..ok whatever they will air out...but then like a year later I bought from the same person without thinking about it...and of course they smelled awful AGAIN!!!....and she gave me the same excuse..all I can say is I hate to see that families lungs......cuz they were bad!
