Wow! I was looking through the junk mail that just arrived, and look what I found in one of the catalogues!

I am so sorry for the terrible picture quality, I had to use my webcam for these ><
The store is "the Reject Shop", one of those dollar store type places which sells all kinds of cheap stuff. Sadly, I don't have one near me... :cloud: Which is such a shame because Sugarberry is one of my favourite ponies, and just look how cute this art is!
Anyway maybe something for my fellow Aussies to keep an eye out for? :biggrin:

I'll go to the store tomorrow and see if they have stock I'll be buying for myself, so I should be able to pick up some for you guys if they have plenty available on the shelves :)

Sad news, made a special trip to the nearest Reject Shop today and they didn't have anything. I'll go back in a few days and maybe they'll have new stock in. Was very disappointed :(

Okay, so I may have the answer. The bottom of the catalogue states that the specials therein are from the 13th of September. It's still too early, stock mustn't have been received/shelved yet. Or at least, I HOPE that's why I couldn't find any of the pony products yesterday! Because just look at how gorgeous these babies are!! :biggrin:

Some stores have apparently released the stock already! Photos have been popping up on the Facebook collectors groups, and I am so envious. I'll try my local store again tomorrow in the hope that stock will have miraculously appeared on the shelves since I checked yesterday.

It's different from the usual G1 retro merch art, but I'm pretty sure it's official art. Target carried a tumbler with the same art (as Skeen posted above) for a little while and that was official merchandise.

I dropped by my local Reject Shop today and the whole range was there. I got the tupperware container to hold my small collection of ponywear. Very cute!
There were even more items than the catalogue shows. The Reject Shop website lists them all. Pic below for anyone who can't access the site:

It does, and someone else was on the other side if I recall correctly... possibly Yum Yum?
I should have taken a photo when I was down there!
Funny how none of the items say "My Little Pony" but it is official merchandise with copyright information in small print in the corner. This particular TAF pony artwork was used on some clothing in Target this year, too.

Wow, I love all the TAF stuff. It looks like it’s based on the same art as the tumbler Target got earlier this year. Congrats everyone that has a Reject Shop and can pick up these fabulous items. :)

I'm so sad, I went into the Reject Shop today and they had everything except the coffee mugs, bowls, placemats, or the insulated lunch boxes. I'm thrilled to bits to have the rest of the set, but I wanted everything on offer. I did ask the staff to check out the back for any unshelved stock, but they told me there was no other stock. Apparently they don't get the full set of products, so they couldn't confirm whether or not they'd be getting any more in.
It was a lovely whack of nostalgia, seeing G1 merch on the shelves of a store again. It was like being 8-years-old again and living through the pony boom of the 80s and 90s. Australia almost never gets merch like this, it all seems to go to the US and UK. It's so delightful to finally be rewarded after years of being neglected :P
I did pick up two extra sets of the merch that was available, so if anyone really wants them let me know!

Pro-tip: If there is any australian attending the uk ponycon next month, you do good to take some of it with you :)

I went back to Reject Shop yesterday to find that they had put out new stock! Was able to get the insulated lunch box, the melamine bowl, the porcelain coffee mug (baby sized, it's TINY!), and the tumbler cups. Still can't find the placemats, unfortunately.
Some other fan had obviously come in and done a big buy out as well, because in that 24 hr period between my visits ALL of a snack boxes were gone, along with most plates, water bottles and straw/sippy cups.
So if anyone is keen to own a few of these genuinely gorgeous items, PM me!

I haven't found a store that has stock of everything yet. I wanted the drink bottle and coffee cup... found the coffee cup today and yes, its TINY, like espresso size.... super cute, but didn't get it because I wouldn't use it. Still haven't found the drink bottle yet!

It is, maybe even tinier, like kids tea set sized tiny. The tea cup and saucer is melamine, but the miniature coffee mug is ceramic.
