Macau Snuzzle Drop/Jenny question
« on: February 27, 2016, 12:29:15 PM »
I remember reading (somewhere) a few years ago that there was a rumor or theory that she was supposed to be Megan's pony T.J. I was wondering if anyone know how that how that idea came about.

I think the reasoning behind the theory is that both T.J and Macau Snuzzle are similar in coloration. At one point, a pattern of spots similar to Snuzzle's symbol are visible on T.J.'s rump.

How cool -- I'd never heard that theory before.

I remember this from when I started collecting in 2003!

The Macau ponies were sold in parts of Europe. Macau Peachy and Lemdrop were sold with the grooming parlour and stable :)

Hasbro sold the licence to a toy company in Macau to make the first six ponies. They won't have had proper details on the colours of each pony, since the paper work would have been in black and white. There really wasn't much detail at all, so often the factories used creative licence, this explains many of the crazy colour combinations of the nirvana ponies.

Interesting enough Jenny is shown as Butterscotch on the Macau back cards :P you can see her in the nirvana gallery.

I am going to pop this over to the Nirvana forum for you :)

As others have said, it was one of those pony urban legends. :P

When a lot of ponies were first being discovered or remembered or discussed...there was always speculation about their source. I believe Jenny was one of those girls. When she first popped up, the most clear thing was her apparent similarity to TJ (simply due to colouring), therefore the speculation was that she must be something to do with TJ. With time (and the appearance of a backcard) it was quickly realised she was one of those lovely "variations" of a normal release pony.

However, all that being said, for all we know the colouring was deliberate :) She is a very unique release so its perfectly possible. But only in the palette choice of a designer of course - so an homage rather than something deliberate.

Sometimes it can be quite hard to figure out which forum to post a question in  especially with it comes to "myths" :)
