Anyone with this problem- I just noticed something.  On mine, I noticed my pony is "missing" - meaning her house is there, but she is not in the game herself.  I noticed she wasn't working, which was odd, so I tried to assign her to a shop, and the game said something similar to "she is on her way/arriving/something like that.  I went to look for her and she's just gone.. game glitch.  I reported it to game loft, apparently it's a known issue, and hopefully it will be resolved.

Just a heads up!

  I had this happened with Granny Smith  and I was told to move the house  and it worked
she appeared next in the balloon and arriving

Finally I got enough Balloon Shards to unlock the last pony
all the shops are built and working , just need to level a bunch of ponies now
the music in the Crystal Empire is kinda cool too

Me either. I'm hoping it comes through today or that Gameloft will post an update on Facebook about why so many people still don't have it.

GL made a post today saying Android would be ready today.  I'm really surprised so many people don't have the update yet!  I had it the day it came out but I did have to manually install it from the Play store.

SAVE YOUR ELEMENT SHARDS GUYS.  Especially Laughter! 

My ONLY complaint is that the ponies are kind of hard to see.    Too transparent on the map, lol!

I've never had a problem getting an update from the Play Store before so it's weird that I didn't get this one. When I check the app page on the Play Store it inly says Uninstall or Open and tapping Open only opens my game with no Crystal Empire update. Thanks for the tip about saving shards.

I finally got the update.  Some of my Sweet Apple Acres quests reset and also some of the Tirek ones. I had to spend 4 gems to skip buying a rodeo enclosure even though I already had one.

Though I am bummed that other people said that the timed balloon pop game was 7 days long, and mine is only 2 days long. Thanks gameloft.

I got 10 globes too.   My 50 gem balloon pop shows about 2 days also. Also when I started my game after the update it said I had two different files but the data was the same on each one. I think I chose to keep the Cloud file. Did that happen to anyone else.

I got Rara!

When we last left off, she wanted us to make "hoofsies" at the Big Apple Stage.  Next, CC wanted mirrors (Antique shop, PV), and glowsticks  (stage, SAA). Once she had those, AJ called her out about Svengallop being a meanie. So we had to tell him to go order Sprinkle Stripe around. Then, CC fired him and Rara came to Ponyville!!!

PS I saved for 4 days to get enough gems to try the special balloon pop once (so 50 gems plus a few extras to get the last 2 balloons). I won some elements and a few crystals. And it was 7 gems per extra pop!  Sigh. Wasted!

Thanks for all the tips!! My shards are all about maxed at 999 so I hope I'll be ready!

I refuse to look at any spoilers of what the Crystal Empire looks like in-game. It's my favorite place in the show! I'm at 52 snowglobes. Can't wait!!!

Congrats on Rara Ponytails. I'm still trying to save gems to buy the cider mill.
I have 32 snowglobes so far and only had to repeat 3 or 4 quests. I was afraid I was going to have to defeat Tirek again when Bonelees showed up as a reward in Ponyville but so far so good.  I have 999 of all the shards of the Elements of Harmony.

I also tried the EMPIRE code again, it worked for me this time! 10 gems.  If it didn't work for anyone last time, give it another shot!

Oooh thank you for the codes!! My phone got to the Crystal Empire already, but this will help my iPad - it's up to 117 globes now!

You know, I am pretty sure the EMPIRE code won't work until the Crystal Empire is unlocked on your device; I tried it on my phone and iPad, and neither worked, but after I unlocked the Empire on my phone, it worked! So maybe that's the trick?

I also, for whatever reason, had the 'shops don't update in realtime' glitch on my game earlier today, but it seems to have fixed itself. Also is one of the Crystal Empire ponies SERIOUSLY a million bits!???
