2014 Minnesota Pony Meet - August 23rd - get ready!

well... I can be added to the unable to attend list now 

just found out today that replacing the engine in my car would cost $2,000.... which wipes out my savings and then some... I only have about $900 in savings *sigh*... my dad is going to help me buy a new car instead... looking at one for $1,900.... taking it for a test drive tonight to see how it drives and if I like it my dad will have a mechanic inspect it... I hate my life  it took me months to save up that money... and now it's gone just like that, and I had to cancel my trip to Kansas...

just when things were starting to look up...car troubles are no fun at all! last winter - 6 days after buying my first ever brand new off the lot car - I had severe troubles and turns out it went from bad to worse and I needed $15,000.00 in repairs. I cried for days - seriously.
we will miss you and I'm very sorry to hear about your trouble!! *hugs*
it will get better, I promise.

you can't leave out the outcome here... insurance covered almost everything in this case I thought. silver lining?

@MoondancerMilkyWay - yeah... was gonna take my first vacation in 3 years, I was so excited... that's down the tubes.

I test drove a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue today.... HATED it, with a flaming passion... inquiring with someone on craigslist about a 2001 chevy impala he's got up for sale, and possibly a 1998 pontiac bonneville....

but I MISS MY CAAAAR  his name was Reginald, and I loved him so......

I wonder what is the "10 gift thing"? I also read about the dice game... we play a present dice game around the holidays, I wonder if it's the same thing? Pile of little wrapped gifts, roll the dice and if you get doubles you get to take a gift and pass the dice to the next My Little Pony Girl?

yeah there was that. but i don't think it was 10$ gift. like 2 to 5 and other random stuff.
Whizzer had a few g3 and a custom in there too, that everyone fought over too funny.

the 10$ gift thing was kinda like a secret santa thing.
it was not required to participate, but if you did a 10$ wrapped gift was required. the gifts got number (least i think this is how it went. Whizzer?) and you drew a number and that's the gift you got.
there was no exchanging or whatnot, it was just a mystery gift exchange.
i got some awesome g1 stickers that i still have on my wall.

yes i got lucky that I only had to pay the deductible but still, any unexpected car repairs are hard!

I had a 93 bonneville, then a 98 olds eighty eight, I loved my eighty eight though... it was a rose gold color, so pretty, and the interior was nice, smoothest ride I've ever had too, it was like the car was floating

Vote for a host pony please! The community expressed an interest in a boy pony this year, and I'm hoping it's a US release so we can maximize the members that are able to bring one (hey, we don't all have an Ice Crystal...yet!) I don't have all the big brothers, but I'm excited to make a custom or painting of whomever is chosen!

@Aurora- maybe we could make this a poll on the lead post?
