I have rats and gerbils, which aren't terribly unique, but they always seem to startle people who come over.  :P

Bullfrogs are forbidden in France

Why?

In France, lots of animals are forbidden, some require a licence. Most of these animals are either very rare and threatened of dissapearing in their original habitat or could cause damage if released in the wild. Bullfrogs for example are much stronger than all of our local greenfrogs and could do a lot of damage to nature. Therefore having these frogs in France can lead to getting a fine :o

I have 2 Bengals.  I guess those also aren't so weird. But they really are not much like normal moggies!

I used to have hissing roaches. My favorite girl was Requiem and she wasn't supposed to live at college with me but I took her everywhere. I also had giant millipedes.
aww, giant millipedes are a long-time dream for me, I hope one day I'll be able to have some, they are super cute ^^
do you know how long their lifespans are? the next time I will be ready again for a pet I'd prefer one that lives a bit longer, I've seen so many of them go and I've had enough heartbreak because of that, I don't think I could bear another anytime soon :(

Lol! Well okay, yes you can, but it's not the easiest pet to get lol. And I do believe you need a permit or license, or so I thought. Also expensive!!!

But that video is so cute, it almost makes it worth it! :P

As for y'all talking giant millipedes... Are they some sort of special kind? Because I dunno about you but I have had some HUGE ones try to cozy up in my house in California. But I think those are just your average run of the mill wild crawly thing. Haha.

I sure don't...does a husband count ROFLOL?  I have always wanted a lamb and we raised birds when I was growing up.  I don't have anything unusual at the moment.

LOL husbands definitely count!!!

We have a cat (strange in her own ways), birds, and bunnies.

I live on a farm :]. As far as weird pets, well I wouldn't consider them weird, but I had pet raccoons before.

Although not 'pets' and I don't own them my college has meerkats. Apparently they're easy to get hold of here in the UK or easier as I don't think you need a license for them anymore.  We also have tonnes of reptiles and got hold of some Basalisk lizards

Aww, I love Scottish folds! My fiance's parents had 2 of them. They both make wookie-like noises. The female is SO tiny!  She's about 4 pounds, and her name fits- IttyBitty!

That is a small kitty! My boy Tomu weighs 11lbs and he's not big either. Most of the time he shounds like Ed from Lion King or Zed from the Police Academy-movies.. But this is how he sounds when he sees something interesting outside: http://s178.photobucket.com/albums/w252/ArtemisiaAbsinthium/Anthea_Tomu_/?action=view¤t=MOV02765.mp4
