Isn't just? I would love to cuddle/brush/wash this pony! You could cover her in bows and pretty things everywhere!

Wonderful!!! I want one!!!
-
Oh my :lovey:
-
Omg so cute and fluffy!!!!
-
Oh I jumped..I thought it was a real horse with some disease or something!!lol
-
Cute! I remember seeing these on a documentary once....oddly I think it was about Native American history...do they have some kind of tie up there or am I remembering something completely different?
-
Erm, I don't think that's a Bashkir... Don't they have signature curled ears, or am I remembering another breed? It looks like a pony with an awful case of Cushings...
-
I just want to brush and brush and brush!
-
:dies: Want. to cuddle.
-

It's a Bashkir, it was listed as so on their fb page. So I'll assume they got it right but you never know, i' mno horse expert xD
-
It's a poodle horse !
-
I want that it's so  cute
-
Aww fuzzy pony!
-
Wow!! Never seen that before!
-

Same here. I thought it was a poor horse with some sort of unfortunate skin disease.
Which now that I think of it, is double standard of me- seeing how the Furreal Butterscotch is practically covered with fur and I didn't think it unusual...
-
OMG I want to give it cuddles so badddd!!! So much fuzzy sweetness!
-
Aww..he's so fuzzy that it makes you just want to *snuggles* with him.
-
I want to hold it, and pet it, and name it George! :)
That is such a cute horse!
-
Kinda looks like a fluffy bunny pony, hm? ^.^
-
So cute!!!

Horses do grow long coats in winter, but this breed makes me think of Cushing's disease too. Its like the bred horse to have signs of Cushings. I'm not convinced they're healthy. They are missing a protein in their body, and I'm not sure people should exploit that. But I guess we do it with albino animals despite their potential health problems. So what if history shows a horse with a curly coat being ridden by medicine men? We didn't know what Cushing's was back then.
-
I didn't know horses could have Cushing's as well. Oh dear. :( I hope this poor fellow doesn't have it and is just a Baskir crossbreed.
But I do remember seeing a Baskir in person and they curls looked quite a bit different than that. Much looser and thicker than these. Was the page on FB that of the owner or just someone reposting the picture?

It was reposted by cowboy magic, I'll find the page for you.

A lot of animals can get Cushings. I've dealt with it in RC dwarf hamsters. Not fun :(

These horses come in a range of "breeds" so to speak, from miniature horses to draft. They also have different "strengths" of curliness in their coat.

You can get curly mice now too, have you seen them? You'll just die from the cuteness overload.
-
I REALLY want a cuddle!!
-
How strange, cute though! I've never seen one before. Is that a breed of horse or a type of genetic "mutation" (I don't consider that a mutation but I'm not sure what else you call it)? Where are they from?
-
so cool!
-
... a type of genetic "mutation" (I don't consider that a mutation but I'm not sure what else you call it)?
Mutation's the correct word...in biology, it doesn't carry a negative connotation.
I can't decide if I should feel sorry for the horse, creeped out, or find it cute.... I certainly hope there's not anything wrong with it!
-
! I just want to cuddle him and never stop! So cute!

I'm fairly certain that it's a Curly.
I don't think a Cushings horse would feel good enough to do what that horse is doing!

I remember reading about Curlies in a horse magazine quite a few years ago. They are supposedly "hypoallergenic". I think they're very interesting and cute.
