Displaying All Generations

I'm re-doing my room and I wound up doing a display of all four generations with two ponies to represent each generation.  It came out like this:

Has anyone else done something like this?  It would be fun to compare.

I have a small bookshelf where each shelf represents a generation, except 3 since I don't collect G3. So the top two shelves are G1, the third is G2 and the fourth is G4. My Rarity army is on separate shelf though.

Rarity army? Sounds awesome haha I should make a Pinkie Pie one I have so many of her from both generations...

I don't yet have the space to do this, but we are moving into a bigger place at the end of next month, so maybe then.  This is a great idea!  I once saw someone with an Applejack army that spanned all four generations.  Pretty sure I saw a Bow-Tie one as well.  The displays were really awesome. 

P.S. I love your username!  Beagles are my fave, too.

I have a little shelf as soon as you walk up the stairs to my pony room that has Bowtie, G2 Sundance, Rainbowdash, and then G4 Fluttershy all together.

Oh what a cute idea! I'm working on getting all of my ponies displayed by color, so it's like a rainbow.   But then I'm also separating out all Princess and royal ponies.

Oh! That is so adorable. I never thought of displaying them that way. My G4s like to mix it up amongst the general G1 displays.

Never heard of that kind of dog before!  Will have to look it up.  My childhood dog was a Beagle and I love Snoopy, so being a Beagle fan is sort of in my blood.

I don't have any displays a cute as yours, that's for sure! But all the G1s, G2s, and G3s live together in my herd, so they're all shelved together. Adults are adults, babies are the kids, and the G2s are teenagers. Oh, the fakies share the shelves with them, too!

I kind of have things grouped together.  G4s on a tabletop on and around the Shining Armor/Cadance castle, all winter themed G3s on bottom shelf of display shelf #1, Wingers and babies on top display shelf, favorite G1 sets on other shelves, G2s on front edge of middle shelf, overflow G1s in Paradise Estate, overflow G3s under bed in container, rare ponies inside glass door shelving unit, MOCs hanging on wall hooks...this is why I needed a pony room!!!

I have them stored like this. From G1 down (The custom Ponies made place for more G1's) All the way up to G4

Most of my ponies aren't sorted by generation or anything, so they are kinda mixed up. I do have one small cubbie shelf that is only big enough for a couple baby ponies, so I have 2 G1s (baby Firefly and baby Waddles) a G2 (baby Drifter/Dreamer [not sure which - it's the lighter green one]) and a G3 (baby Ocean Dreamer). I don't have any G4 babies so I decided on a G1 boy and a G1 girl instead. =) Sadly G3.5 is left out since I really dislike the NBCs and don't have/want any. :/
