How to display G1 Adult Seaponies without their shell?
« on: February 06, 2014, 10:23:57 AM »
Hey there :)

I will be recieving an adult G1 Seapony without its shell soon and since I dont think Ill have the money to buy her shell soon, I wonder how to display her. Ive got a few others but only one shell, so the others are currently residing inside the (empty) pool of Paradise Estate, but that pool is full now because the adult Seaponies are sharing theit space with the (float-less) babies. Since I dont want to lay her on the table or something, I thought I might ask how you all display your Seaponies :)
If you have pics Id be happy to see them! Thanks in advance!

Buy a rose bowl or beta fish bowl, fill it halfway up with glass marbles and stand the sea pony up in it.

Ooh, I am interested to see the replies/pics to this. Even though I love seaponies, I actually avoid collecting them because the few I have are just laying pathetically on the bottom shelf of my collection bookcase.

I just propped them up against the shelf before I had shells. Though it didn't work too good.. they kept sliding down XD I think some people use egg cups :)

yeah I saw that a couple of times, I just fear them to be "squished" too much by the marbles if standing in there for a longer time :/
Thanks for your comment though :)

Eggcups might be a good try, Shenanigans :) I think Ill try that.

I also thought of making stands with fimo or any self-hardening stuff or something. Need to try that ...

I've seen some people display them standing in a champagne flute glass. It looked really cute. I'll try to find a pic.

Aha!! Here's one! It doesn't look like the marbles are squishing her either. You could also fill it with something soft like iridescent tinsel from Christmas?

I have heard of the egg cup trick or even segments from an egg carton :) They are supportive and soft...and you could even decorate them to suit your pony.#

Doll stands also work :) You can support the pony at the neck and they will stand up - you can pick them up on ebay for low prices.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I get little glass candle holders from Micheals. They are about 3$ for one and I fill it with sand and stick them down in there. They work great. I have no pictures right now though.

I'm going to poke around my crafty stuff and see if I can come up with some decent stands.   I know have two sea ponies, and both are babies I believe, but I might be able to make something cute for them this weekend!

Wow, that champagne flute idea is so sweet. I've only got one Seapony and she's propped up behind other ponies, I'm so lazy lol :P

Well  I personally haven't had a chance to put my lone sea pony and my lone lalaloopsy sea pony up yet but I was personally thinking about a hand made dollstand that uses ribbon to secure the doll (or in this case pony) to the stand.
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

You are SO lucky to have gotten Sea Breeze!! Congrats!!  :)
Having only one shell and three adult sea ponies, I as well will try some of these display tips.
