Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: *NEW* Arctic Sea Ponies!!!

Super cute! The concept reminds me a little bit of the Icy-Gals group from Sea Wees. They even have white hair with color streaks!

You can call Paypal at 888-221-1161. I was told the number is the same worldwide. Good luck!

Pony Corral / Re: G4 plushes: licensed or not?
« on: December 28, 2018, 03:40:04 PM »
That's pretty much what I thought, but it's good to know for sure. Too bad they're knock-offs. Though on the other hand, it's kind of nice that there isn't even more stuff to tempt me. It's hard to be a completionist!

Pony Corral / G4 plushes: licensed or not?
« on: December 28, 2018, 10:54:12 AM »
I've fallen woefully behind on G4; there's so much stuff available, I just can't keep up! So I'm trying to catch up when I can get a good deal.

I only collect officially licensed MLP stuff. I know there's a lot of unofficial stuff on Ebay, and for the most part I can tell the difference. But some of the plushes have me scratching my head. Specifically the ones like Double Diamond, Twilight Velvet, Sugar Belle, Fleur de Lis, Cherry Jubilee, Daring Do, etc.; there's a whole bunch all made in the same style. They have some sort of tags and I can tell they're factory-made. But are they officially licensed, or just high quality knock-offs? I hope they're official, because they look a lot better than all the other licensed plushes except maybe Build-a-Bear.

Pony Corral / Re: What ponies did you get for Christmas as a kid?
« on: December 28, 2018, 10:41:42 AM »
I still remember getting Peachy and the Pretty Parlor for Christmas when I was six; that was my very first pony! After that the only pony I distinctly remember getting for Christmas was Tex, though I'm sure there were others.

Trader & Shipping Support / Is Esnipe down??
« on: December 08, 2018, 10:50:15 PM »
I was having problems with Esnipe about a week ago. I got an error message saying that my account was no longer synced with Ebay, or something like that. I ended up bidding manually on the item, and sent a message to the company telling them of the probem. I didn't hear back from them and haven't bid on anything since. I just tried to log in with them, and I can't even get the site to load. Is anyone else able to log in, or am I the only one having problems for some reason?

Wow, I hope they didn't shut down! I've been using them for years! Can anyone recommend another good sniping service?

Off Topic / Re: Architecture/Interior Design - Possible Career Advice?
« on: December 06, 2018, 05:57:53 AM »
Look up local interior designers and call them to ask for career advice. Tell them what you told us, and ask for advice on how to break into the field and how difficult it is to start a career. Not all of them will take time to talk to you, but some probably will. That's basically how I got started in my career. Good luck!

MLP Nirvana / Re: WHAT is going on with these crazy Argie prices?!

I'm pretty sure there are a few new collectors in South America with deep pockets. I'll wait for prices to stabilize.

Have her from childhood. I tried to get at least one pony from each group, so she was my choice for the Perfume Puff group.

I just noticed that despite her name, there's not a scrap of red on her, ha ha!

For Sale - For Auction / Re: Thinking of selling my entire toy collection
« on: October 08, 2018, 01:49:23 PM »
Sorry for your situation! I had to leave my stuff in storage for over a year. But I've got it back now, and it's fine. I stored it in Nevada, so I was worried about the heat, despite climate control. I told the storage managers about my collection, and they recommended a unit in the middle of the facility, where the temp was coolest and most constant.

If you decide to sell, I might be interested in your Jem dolls. Also maybe MOTUC She-ra line, SSC, and Rainbow Brite (I have most of the vintage dolls for all 3 of those - She-Ray, SSC, & Rainbow Brite).

Introductions / Re: Hi!
« on: October 08, 2018, 11:24:05 AM »
Oh, lucky you! The Italian Moonstone variant is called "Bluemoon." Her price varies; I'd expect anything from $500 to $1000. Ital coral haired Tickle sells a little lower, $400 to $800.Ital Moondancer without streak - not sure. Anyway, prices vary greatly depending on condition and who's interested at the time. Congrats!

Trader & Shipping Support / Has anyone used Xoom? (New Paypal service)
« on: October 01, 2018, 09:23:16 PM »
It looks like Paypal has a new service salled Xoom. Has anyone used it? It looks like it provides a way to send bank transfers from America. If so, that would be great, because a lot of sellers in Europe don't want to accept Paypal. Usually I have to ask other members here for help with bank transfers.

Is there a fee? Well, I'm sure there must be a fee; they need some way to make money. But does anyone know how it works? It looks like the needed info is bank name, IBAN code, BAC code, and recipient's name, address, and phone number.

It would be great if this is a way to buy things from European sellers who don't want to accept Paypal! Hopefully the fee isn't too bad; Western Union charges $50 per transaction!
