Hmm, query about Summer Hayes G4 inventory?

Hi all, I recently bought the G4 collectors inventory by Summer Hayes online and was disappointed to find  the inside pages black and white? Is this right?

I have the G1 inventory and its in color, I love that book so much its what got me to buy the G4 one. 

I had a little look on Google images and there are some pages on there and they are in color?

If anyone has this book, can they please check and get back to me?

It's definitely supposed to be in color. Can you send it back and ask for an exchange? Summer is Sweetune on here, so you could possibly contact her if you are unable to exchange it.

Thanks for the info and the move over Ponylady I have emailed the company I bought it off to see what they say, I have a horrible feeling I may have been "had"

Yes, sounds like it was a unauthorized "copy"

If it is a copy someone made and sold then I think Summer should be notified as well as her publishing company...totally not cool if someone is doing that!

 I happened upon this post. I'm Summer, the author.

The book is in color. There are no black and white versions of any of my books. I would return the book to the seller immediately as it is either a wildly misprinted copy or an unauthorized printing. I'll let my publisher know. If you could PM me with details (who sold it etc.) that would be helpful and I can give you the information for my publisher so you can also contact them. Sorry this happened to you!

I have not yet had a response from the customer services person I emailed.  I have filed a complaint through Play.com which is where I bought it from, I hope to get a response in the next 3 working days.

This book is still being sold on their site!!

Oh! Play! Having just looked it appears that the book is only carried on Play's market place and not by Play themselves. Unfortunately Play's open seller space has a terrible reputation for selling a lot of fake products [especially on items which are not sold in Europe and are US only] and Play do very little about it when sellers are flagged up to them. I am going to hope it is just a misprinted guide and you get a replacement nice and easily.

However, as a heads up and as someone who has been messed around on Play's market place in the past, if you get no luck from your third party seller, dont let Play put you off if they insist you can only speak to the seller. Play are offering a market place and you can as easily report them - to Trading Standards and ultimately the police - for permitting transactions for illegal products as you can the actual seller. Play just dont like to get involved and unfortunately sometimes kicking them into action is the only option.
