Things I Love About Customizing!

I love everything about it!

I love love love painting in small scale, I almost feel I do better smaller.

Planning color combos, I love to go with bold and strange color combinations and sometimes I base my entire pony off the colors I choose.

I like hairing a pony while watching my favorite tv show or anime.

Most of the customs I have made so for are specifically for friends' birthdays. I love their faces when they see their ponies. Just last week was my friend's birthday and she opened her present and made lots of happy noises before telling me she had been hoping so hard she would get a pony from me. And it made me all warm and fuzzy inside to make her day.

I also enjoy cleaning up baits and giving them a second life.

I like trying something new if I can for each custom I do. Challenging myself just a little to do better than the time before.

Rehairing is so fun, even though I do it the "threading" way which takes forever. But I love playing with the hair as it's turning out. I usually take rehairing projects to work and people walk by and do double takes at my cubicle.

Lastly, I just love the idea of customizing. The fact that you can have exactly the type of pony you want just as you want it. I think that's one of the reasons I got into customizing in the first place. Though I have yet to make any ponies for myself lol. I will someday.

All good things to love! I love the freedom that a freshly acetone scrubbed pony blank gives me. Its like looking at a 3dimensional canvas of my favorite toy I love all my supplies and when a box full of new supplies comes in - It is like christmas morning. I love the whole creation process including the brainstorming. I have books upon books of ideas (last count was 9) and sometimes I love to just look through my ideas

I love it all and art is my passion - even though I am now moving onto canvas a bit more - I will still be doing ponies

I love it all. My favorite is when I complete the custom or part of it and go "woah I can't believe how good that looks" I definitely have found that I don't give myself enough credit for what I do, and I love that this has allowed me to see my skills and talent better. I also love when I sell my work or get commissioned, it encourages and reminds me that other people are interested and like my work as well as myself.

I love painting eyes- which is ironic because that used to be one of the things I hated most!
I love seeing my work progress and evolve.
I love rehairing
most of it I enjoy except when I do beaded corsets, those are guaranteed to make me cuss up a blue streak. LOL

-Painting. I love ppulling out my tiny brush and painting things.
-Watching everything come together to make an icky pony pretty again.
-Being done and seeing the end result.
-And my favorite thing of all about customizing is the friends I've made through it.

I love painting eyes. I don't know what it is, they're not really my strong point or anything, but I really enjoy it. Even if everything else on a pony is frustrating I just think "Well okay, I'll paint the eyes then!" and I always calm down and enjoy it

I love just about everything about customizing though, from picking the bait out of the drawer to whatever the end result is - sending it to a new home or keeping it on my self.

FOr me is because the eyes make me feel like she is alive, so if she have eyes i need to finish her!!! she sees me now lol and is telling me "please give me a life" and she insist every time I see her, like the puss in boots

I love deconstructing poines. From ripping thier heads/limbs off, to pulling out hair.
Painting eyes is really soothing, even if it does take me forever and a day to do it.
Rehairing. Even if I do end up getting half of the hair on the floor. Hahaha.

To damage my brain searching for an idea.
Make the right mix of colors on the custom.
To make color blend with hair
Rehair!!! Just love this one the most!
Oh and...I love to sew them dresses heheheheh
And of course seeing that the horrible pony I made isn't so horrible for the person who receives it

What I love most is buying supplies!

I'm guilty of nearly hoarding when it comes to this, I have boxes full of glitter, stars, flocking, various powders, wire, clay, hair, ... anything that could get on a pony is there and I just don't have the heart to downsize. Hey it COULD be used after all ^^"

I love when people pay the invoice I send them for their commissions. I'm waiting on this to happen currently. Eagerly. lol

This is going to sound really weird, but... I really love making tails, specifically, the part where I put it under some hot water and let it dry so it hangs flat instead of poofing out. I especially love the way nylon feels when you first brush it after wetting it, it gets so soft and fluffy.

I love that triumphant feeling when you've had a bait in your bait box for a really, really long time, and you finally find a use for it. <3

I only started doing this step recently, but I love putting primer on a pony.

Dyeing a batch of ponies into fun and vibrant colors.
Sculpting it's so fun!
Working on a pony and taking it from heinous paint job to really awesome looking.
The rush of finishing a pony altogether.

Now if only I'd just do it more often and finish what I start.
