Hey sd! So it is no secret that I am a little bit of a beer snob, so I used the super thin cardboard used in beer boxes, the kind that holds a six of bottles. I just cut out the general shape of my wing and then gently bent the cardboard until the creases became permanent. Then I applied Apoxie Sculpt to one side and bent the wing into the final shape. I would use a paint pot to support the curve while the first side dried. Does that make sense?

Makes sense to me! I've read in a book that was dealing more with sculpty and fimo the person actually used card stock (+ glue of some sort to make it stiffer) for a base/support. Forgot about it honestly

She is stunning and I know of some none pony folk customizers who use the metal from the energy drink cans as the base for there wings. So I guess what ever material is handy works. LOL
