Should your paint over a mark on a pony if your having a hard time removing it.

Should you? That's a debate within itself.
I usually don't because I figure I'm bad at paint matching and it's not worth having differing textures to me. I can embrace the mark or customize the pony...but if she's just for my standard collection, I'll leave it.

The reason why I wanted to paint over mine is because I got two from a thrift store that have red marks on them that looks like they permanently have lipstick on them. I would’ve just left it alone but it’s the first thing you notice when you look at them. So I don’t know if I should try it or not. But if keeping it is the best option I’ll let them stay that way.

Red marks should sunfade alright-even in the dead of January I was able to fade blue pen off some ponies even though it takes months.
They are your ponies though, so it is your decision!

Your pony, your choice!
I have a beautiful Night Glider and a visible part of her body is discoloured; as she was a grail pony that I wanted to keep and display, I decided to use a few thin coats of carefully-mixed acrylic to touch-up the blemish. Unless you look very closely, you cannot see the blemish! There is also scope to remove this thin layer of paint in the future, should I choose to.
If you intend to sell the pony, I am sure potential buyers would like to know up-front. Some collectors don't mind, yet others feel it super important to have an untouched, original pony, so here is where the issue lies!!
