Title: My Little Pony Carousel Custom

I found a G4 MLP Carousel at the thrift store for $1. 

It started out like this (stock photo):

It took me about a year because I got started and then hit a slump and put it away for a long time.  But I pulled it out about 2 months ago and decided to finish it.  Now I can get to work on the next thing!

Great makeover, the colours you picked are harmonious and beautifully balanced! And look at all those tiny ponies!

You’ve really brought out all of the raised details! I love the painted little ponies, and how you’ve done them in different colors.

Thanks everyone!  When I started I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but I'm glad it turned out as well as it did.  And the music and moving parts still work, too!

That's amazing! You really made the most of all of the molded details, and those colors? A huge improvement over the original!

This is incredible!! I love seeing people customize playsets. Looks so much better than what Hasbro could put out!

I don't think so..or if they do it's kind of cramped.  I suppose baby G1s and possibly the flutters might fit.  They're a little closer to G4 size.



Thanks everyone!  I'm glad it's done because it's one of those projects that I didn't want to give up on but also had to force myself to work on at one point.  Now it's done and I'm happy with it so I'm glad I didn't just give it up.  :)

You pull the heart on the front all the way to the right and then the bottom piece (I've painted it purple with the ponies on it) rotates while the upper piece with the flag also rotates and it plays the MLP theme song.

Wingers might look awesome inside. There are certain playsets I really love whether or not they are really to scale and I'm definitely a fan of this one!

Thanks! Wingers would be cute.  They could ride on top so their wings don't get stuck anywhere.
