We all know the Super Impulse World's Smallest line, right? So small and cute, but a little pricy to buy as custom bait. So I bought the Firefly and Minty set from eBay to do a little experimentation!
Firefly was stripped of a mane and tail and used to make two styles of molds for two styles of pony, Resin and Sculpey. Making the resin mold with the latex mold builder I own is a little tedious, so that one isn't done yet, but I've had success working with my sculpey mold!

Sundance was an initial test of my first mold, and Bowtie is a further refinement. It's not a perfect process; I do need to hand carve the sculpey ponies for refined details. But lined up with Minty, I think they look nice!

What a good idea, to make molds! You must have a REALLY steady hand to paint these though...I have a hard enough time painting fine details on regular-sized ponies! Looking forward to seeing what else you do with them.

Thanks! The tiny details take a lot of time and painting over mistakes, i'll tell you that.
