People with pony rooms!

So I was having a conversation with my dad about ponies, and how big some peoples collections were compared to mine!
And I told him about my wish of having a pony room in my house, and he said "but how many more would you need to do that?"


So that's my question, people with ponies rooms, averagely how many ponies do you need to have until you need to upgrade to a pony room rather than shelves?

I think its when the playsets start taking up every available surface that you suddenly realise the ponies need more room! 

I only collect G1 but I do collect all accessories which once they are being displayed starts taking up a lot of room! So I was about half way from where I am now that I decided more space was required - so that was 500ish ponies and most playsets.


I think its all going to depend on how much space you are currently using and even if you wish to collect lots and lots of ponies or keep your collection around a certain number.

We just moved house (partly so we could get a ponyroom)

We have nearly finished setting our ponyroom up but have done a rough count and have about 900-1000 ponies!

Actually, my pony room is my own room   (by the way, I need way more walls... or start putting shelves on the roof...)

How many ponies I have?  A lot.  More than 800 (and I just say I need to count them and do nothing about it XDD).  I also have 12 playsets (4 for the petite ponies), the G3 Crystal Princess Palace, and the rest are the Mexican playsets =D  (the G3 is on a desk, the rest in one bookshelve).

For me it happened when the MIB ones started taking up a lot of room. The playsets didn't help, but I have a whole room and somewhere around 1800 ponies. It really depends on the size of what you have, too, and if you have display cabinets.

Technically I've got a 'pony room' but I share it with my husbands sports cards and scrapbooking stuff. So if you really can have a room just for ponies you're quite lucky!
(Once you get over 300 then you start to take over more than just a bookshelf or two...)

For me it was when I decided that I wanted paradise estate and the other play sets - those things take up some amount of space!

For me it was when my cats started knocking over the ponies that I had on my shelves. When Flutter wings end up missing.... it's time for a pony room.
