Hi guys,

I'm Tancho, i've been on the trading post for a little while now and thought it was about time I said hello on here!  I'm very much looking forward to getting to know everyone, and can't wait to see peoples pony pics and talk ponies in general :)

Anyhow, here is a bit about me, as per the instructions in the intro thread!

Personal:

How old are you?
I'm 30.

Where do you live? State, Country?
I live in the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

Do you work or attend school? Profession or major?
I work as a regional manager for a large chain supplying consumers with information on dog and cat nutrition, plus other general pet care advice.  I'm qualified to sell some veterinary medicines and to microchip animals too.

Who are the important people in your life?
Well obviously my close family, plus my other half Peter, but also my pets - namely my dog, a Rottweiler called Maisie, my common boa, my quaker parrot, my rabbits and my chickens.

Ponies:

How long have you  been collecting?
Well on pure technicalities I only started seriously collecting this year, last year I moved house and whilst my parents have been doing their own house up they came across my collection of ponies from my childhood - so you could kind of say i've been collecting since I was a toddler, but to be honest i've not thought about the poor girls and guys until this year again properly!

Which generation of ponies do you collect? G1, G2, G3 or G4.
At the moment purely G1's, nothing else.

What made you want to collect ponies?
Well I think like most people when I was given my old childhood toys they really brought back a feeling of nostalgia and I remembered how sweet and lovely they were to collect.  My job takes me all around the country and my days are stressful and long, having an hour in the evening restoring and caring for them really helps to take away the stress of a bad day.

Tell us about your collection!
OK, at the moment I have just over 100 G1's, all individuals.  I try to where possible get ones that are in good condition, although i'm not a mint in box kind of girl, I like to mess about with them!  A lot of them are probably quite run of the mill but I have a few that I paid a fair price to get hold of and are more sought after.  I've completed a few sets so far, my favourite one being the merry go round ponies (I have a thing about carousel horses, I have a full size carousel horse in my living room and two tattooed on my back!) and i'm still plugging for others at the moment!  My next project is to get all of the brother ponies with their accessories!

You have an interesting job working with cats and dogs.  I'm a G1 pony fan too (which probably tells you a bit about my age, lol). I'm sure you'll fit right in here :frolic:

Thank you for the warm welcomes! I am very much looking forward to getting to know everyone!

My carousel horse is a jumper, he is very old and he needs lots of restoration work doing on him now. He was originally kept at a hotel and we know he's about 100 years old but that's about all. He is very sweet though!
