Blue deer custom

Shortly after I finished my faun custom I started on a new project. This time one that suits my screen name that I use almost everywhere. Rawdjur is a twist of the word rådjur which means deer in Swedish and the start of that screen name was a blue deer.

So, this custom is sculpted with Sculpey III and painted with acrylic paint. The antlers are made of wire and foil covered with clay.

I'm glad you like it. At the moment I'm not confident enough to take on commissions. This is only my 4th custom and it's far from perfect. Hopefully I will be able to do it in the future and if so I will post in the "Commission Artist" thread.

Thank you! I just started a pony that will become a birthday gift. That one will require some sculpting so there will come up more sculpted ponies from me in a bit. This one will take a bit longer to make though, at least that's what I think.

Oh my, such a compliment. Well, there is no secret to it. The only part of the antler that got wire and foil in it is the marked one:

Rest is just clay, that way I can work more freely with the parts and get them thinner. Sure, they are not as strong, but customs aren't made to be played with. The other parts are just clay that I've rolled out to thin cone-like shapes (pointy in one end and a good broad-ish base to blend in with the rest of the antler). Hope you understand what I mean. Explaining stuff like this is not my strong side.
