Rare/Sought After G3s?

Okay so, the time has come for me to announce that I might have to start selling my G3 collection.
(Due to college funds etc..)

I don't really want to; but I think someone else would take better care of them than me. So I need some advice from the experts..

What G3s are rare or sought after? Or just generally valuable in any way?


I have a small list of ones I know are valuable but I just need help in finding out any others. Pictures would be great help too!

I guess the question would be who do you have in your collection that you are wanting to sell? If we had a list, we could better tell you who you are missing

Any Comic-Con or pony project or MLP fair are obvious ones. The Breast Cancer pony is another rare one.  Hard to find, depends really on what people are looking for....Strawberry Reef has a good resource.

I've been on the hunt for G3's for 3 months now and I've noticed some ponies that seem rather hard to find (at least for me). So I can only give you a list of those.

Beach Belle
Carribean Delight
Crowning Glory
Pretty Palace
Royal Beauty
Aurora Mist
Pearly Pie
Daisy Paisley
Winter Miny - Year 6
Egg Pony Sweetie Belle - Year 6
Egg Pony Pinkie Pie - Year 6


I've see quite alot of the two faced comic con pony and wouldn't call that hard to find, yet the prices are abit high. Same with the black comic con super hero pony. It's not a lack of them that makes it difficult for me to obtain them, it's their prices

Other than that there's the obvious ones:

The Pony Project Ponies (I've been looking for the black one without any luck for 3 months O.o, the others do pop up every now and then)

Breast Cancer Pony

Unfortunately there is a difference between hard to find & sought after and how that equates to value especially with G3.

The link elish has posted is a great list of the harder to find ponies but just being hard to find doesnt give them value - for example on that list you have Silver Rain who is maybe $8-10 in price, Thistle Whistle who is again maybe $6-7. So yes they are a little harder to find but they are not particularly valuable in the grander scheme. Then on the other scale you have the other hard to find but this time very sought after ponies such as Caribbean Delight and the 2007 Comic Con pony.

So are you looking for a list of ponies which are harder to find or a list of the ponies which are over a certain value? If the former then the StrawberryReef page is best for that although it does include some ponies which are just less common rather than hard to find.

the only other one i would add is the white tie dye one... cant remember her name atm...
