i also remember that pony. i doubt it's legit, but it disturbs me that somebody would fake it so detailed. not everybody knows the typical things that belong to a uk mix and match princess variant. i think we should also keep in mind that tiffany has no known uk variants. there's only the german variant with yellow hair.
i would keep her if i were you. you never know, maybe one day a second and a third pony of this kind appeares and shows us that we might be wrong.

i have a good collection of variant hats and i have never seen one with silver tinsel. the hats that came with variants have usually no trim at all. do you have a picture?

ah, i'm popping into this topic quite late because i've been on holiday. i'm so sorry to have to say, none of my royal blues is a spare to me. they are different variations of the glow in the dark haired royal blue and if i find another variation or upgrade, i might buy her too. but i guess i'll wait till you all had your turn and get the cheaper ones when the run is over.

you have a very pretty serena variant with bubblegum pink hair there! the german version of her has no pat pend and the euro version, which was available in uk, france etc. has the pat pend.
the small jewels colour is influenced by the coating on them and by the body colour of the pony. that is because they are originally translucent. the coating makes them shimmer and the body colour gives it's extra bit. when the coating is rubbed off, they can seem to be a completely different colour! i also had a princess once with massive dirt inside the body and the jewels were very dark. also possible is that the jewels, which are made of plastik, yellowed. that happens quite often. that could also cause them to look different.
so it can be, that the coating was different, like pkw said, or it is one of the options that i described.

i'm so sorry this happened to you. i hope that at least the ponys are nice. i know how hard it is to get a rare pony damaged while shipping.

i love dancing butterfly's pose, it is also one of my favourites. go for tiffany with yellow hair, she is such a beauty! i bought a dancing butterflies with a bad haircut, so i can make my own rehair variant one day
