I really love ponies that have some kind of night-time theme to them, in someway or another. I love ponies who are given night-time themed names, cutie marks/symbols or even colors. I love the designs of ponies like Princess Luna, both Nightlights (Nachlicht in G1) and Starbeam or the night-time themed cutie marks of Napper or Pillow Talk, or the night-time theme of ponies like the Starbeam (again) with her backcard story, or the whole Slumber Party Gift Pack (Pillow Talk included) - I know some of these overlap, but it makes sense they do in places.
For a long time now, I've loved the idea of how night-time is portrayed in children's media. My experience of this has shown that night doesn't have to be scary and home to monsters, but a beautiful soothing time of moonlight and twinkling stars, and a time of being tucked into bed, listening to bedtime stories and lullabies, as you begin your soothing journey to dreamland. There is something very appealing about this, especially when viewed from a child's eyes, in my opinion, so I love the idea of My Little Pony having ponies who are associated with night in someway, or at least bedtime.
Anyone else love the night-time themed ponies?

Me too. Luna, the Moondancers, Midnight Dream, the Glorys, Star Dasher, Twinkle Hope.

You hit the nail on the head there! It's precisely that calming, mellow vibe that makes me love night-themed ponies as well. Napper would have to be my favourite of the bunch; her sparkly yellow body makes her feel that extra bit special. :heart:

Night themed ponies are very pretty! As with Safflower, I really love Pillow Talk! She's in my top 5 G1s for sure!

Don’t forget Twilight the unicorn. :) and Sparkle Pony Twinkler. I think it’s interesting that in the storybooks Moondancer and Baby Moondancer could glow in the dark.

Agreed! I love ponies with star or moon symbols... :) Especially having them on my bed-side table, it's really soothing somehow.

I like them too so does my daughter. I think they are very peaceful and relaxing. :) I love Nightglider and G3 moondancer. She has nice blue colors and the pastel yellow-off white hair its very pretty with her.

I agree, night themed ponies are some of my favourites. so soft Twilight has always been night themed to me, and Nachlicht is high on my list of wants.
I’m tempted now to make a whole assmbly of night ponies on my night stand.

These celestial themed ponies are very special to me too, especially G1. G4 Trixie Lulamoon, too! :)

Princess Sapphire and Princess Amber as well :) I always think of Sapphire automatically because of that weird comic story with the pool and the helterskelter rainbow whatever it was...
I love a lot of night themed ponies, but also a lot of day themed ponies as well. Just some of the colour schemes of night-related ponies are really cool. And many have a blueish theme to the colour pallette, which I really like as well.

You finally put into words why I love celestial themed anything. Anything to do with outerspace and stars and moons...it makes me feel comforted and serene. Like the moon is looking down on us protecting us.
The moon themed ponies are my favorite too. I forgot the name of this G1 I had...she was my favorite. She was see-through purple with sparkles and blue sparkled hair, and her cutie mark was a moon hugging a star or something.

Stardancer! Though her symbol is two stars with their "arms" around each other's "shoulders".
