Favorite anime??? (may contain spoilers, I guess.)

Lately, an anime/manga wave hit me. Of course, I don't have the right to call myself an otaku yet, since I've watched only a few animes.

And I'm pretty much sure that my love for Vocaloid, Vipperloid and UTAUloid, which has been increasing for the last few months doesn't give me almost any right to call myself an otaku either.

That kind of thread had been probably done already, but I'd like to know people's opinions of anime.

Also what are your favorite genres? Would you prefer a confusing anime, or a simple one, that literally spits everything out? Favorite character? Favorite all-time anime?

I just finished watching Elfen Lied and since I was aware of the nudity and the graphic violence, it didn't bother me that much. But it sure had some tear-jerked parts, including the ending

(in my opinion Lucy didn't die, though, I think the silhouette in the end was her)

and I think that Lilium, the theme song, really adds a lot of emotion to the whole thing.

 The animes I was mostly impressed by so far are Loveless (shounen-ai  ) and BRS. I can count Elfen Lied and Higurashi no naku koro ni in that group too, but like I said, Loveless takes the cake.
It was pretty hard to understand everything in Loveless, there were some questions left without answers, but the adorable ending made up for the confusion.

I only recently started watching anime again. I really like Puella Magi Madoka Magica, it's so dark and the psychedelic fight sequences are great! As for manga, I'm re reading Sailor Moon and am looking forward to the re release of the anime.

Black Butler, Soul eater, Claymore, Fairy Tail, fruits basket are probably my favorites.

My favorites would be  Yu Yu Hakusho (my absolute favorite of all time) and Ouran Host Club. And of course Pokémon, Digimon and the original Japan-only series of Yu-Gi-Oh! too.

And if you're counting movies, anything by Studio Ghibli. Just love 'em <3

I am old school in that I still love DBZ.  Like, a LOT.  As in I probably still watch it at least a few days a week. 

I also love love love Full Metal Panic and Bleach.  My husband's in to a lot more animes than I am, as I tend to bond to characters and he enjoys seeing new story lines.  I have the first two boxes of Fairy Tail waiting for me after my current FMP spree is through.

Hm, I love quite a few of them. Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, and most of the old-school ones!

Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are some of my favorites too.

I also enjoyed Witchblade.  I'm watching Queen's Blade right now- I don't suggest it for the plot, but if you like gratuitous nudity and boobies, it's a good show!

i've been watching anime since ponies came out. trust me. i'm a huge otaku.
though i mostly read manga, i still watch anime too. especially when i'm rehairing ponies.
