Spoiler! Name and Gender Revealed of Cadance's and Shining's Baby

According to one of the books, Cadence was originally a pegasus but became an alicorn after doing some sort of good deed.  (Standing up to a witch or something?)

I'll be really disappointed if her daughter is an alicorn, that will just water down even more something that was once special and rare.

That said I'll bet her daughter is indeed an alicorn, because marketing.

The name keeps making me think of Flitterheart, and I suspect now she'll never get another release, lest the two be confused. "Flurry" does make me envision a white pony, though.

Check here to see the cartoon version. So, she's a female, white, alicorn. However--THOSE WINGS AND HORN!!! They are the same size as Twilight's, for corn sake! And Twilight's wings kinda look to big on Twilight! Seriously, I am okay with the pony being an alicorn, though I would have preferred unicorn or pegasus. But her Wings and horn look RIDICULOUS on a newborn!

Also, I was really hoping that the pony would be a crystal pony. I don't understand why in the cartoon she appears to be solid color.

The way Twily reacted, being born an Alicorn is rather unusual. Also I wonder if there will be a plot point involving the Mane 6 and this baby pony turning into crystal ponies.

Oh, just saw the cartoon pics. Ok, a little better that she is white instead, but still disappointed overall! Hasbro sure is good at dropping the ball. Was so hoping for a male, and then when we learned her name I was hoping for a blue pony with white hair or something. You know, to fit better with her name and use colors OTHER than pink?

Okay, I try to avoid spoilers, but I guess there's really no avoiding looking at this, since people elsewhere are already talking about it.

I don't mind that it's a girl, and the name is... okay. Kinda cute, but a little generic. I get the 'Heart' bit since she's Cadance's daughter and all.  I can see her being born an alicorn, since her mother is one.  If any of the others had children, it's possible they could be as well.  It's not necessarily something that's earned, it can be inherited just like their titles. And let's be honest, who wasn't expecting Cadance to have a baby to sell a baby princess toy as soon as you learned she was pregnant?

Maybe since Flurry was born like that, she's a contender now to Twilight as Celestia's successor. 

I just saw the clip with Flurry.  I really wish they'd stick with the foal designs they made with Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Her eyes are too big (but cute on their own), her horn is too big and her wings are so big they're practically a birth defect (although I like the gradient). Her color scheme isn't the best, either, but it may grow on me. I want to like her, but she gives me too much of a Newborn Cuties vibe. I hope she looks better as a toy than she does in the show, but I doubt it.

She looks like a faint pink to me, not white... Celestia is white (in the pink range) and this foal is a faint pink... and just.. looks odd.. I don't know what the show designers are thinking nor do I know what Hasbro is thinking but now earning the alicorn status seems kind of moot =/

That was my thought. I'm so interested to see what season 6 will reveal about this.
